It seems like every other time I go on Splash Mountain, the seat of my dress/pants gets dirt on it from the person before me stepping on the wet seat to get out of the log flume. Does anyone have suggestions to prevent this? Do you think cast members would get annoyed if I put down a small towel on the seat quickly first?

I wear a poncho and swipe it down like a skirt before I sit down.

I think you could quickly put a towel or poncho/large plastic bag down without problem. Or you could wear a poncho. I don't think you'll find a clean seat unless you're the first person to ride that day!

Poncho, towel, plastic bag- they'll all work. Splash is far from the only ride or attraction where this can be a problem. I tend to wear clothes that won't show dirt easily. My white pants and Capris don't even make it into the suitcase on Disney trips.

I've been known to grab a bunch of napkins before heading to Splash and use them to somewhat dry the seat. I don't mind getting splashed but walking around with a wet tush all day is not at the top of my list!
I've never had a CM say anything or act annoyed. Go for it!

Yes to all the PPs said. Also sit a little forward in the seat so that your butt doesn't touch the back. Sometimes water/muck collects there.
