I keep my WDW maps in a large vinyl ziploc pencil case from Walgreen's. It is colored on one side and clear on the other. It also has metal-ringed holes to keep it in a binder. I keep it in my official planning binder with my menus, reservation info, etc. When we get to the hotel, I can take it out of my binder and toss it in my backpack. I have another one to keep my Disney Dollars since these are waterproof. You can get them at the dollar store, but their made out of a cheaper plastic and tear easily. Purchase one from Walgreen's or an office supply store.

This is SUCH an awesome idea! :cool1: Thanks so much for sharing! I brought large ziploc bags last time for this purpose and the maps still got "scrunched". So this would work perfectly, and I can add it to my "disney binder" when I get home. :Pinkbounc

Thanks again for the tip!

I keep one of these in the outer pocket of every carryon bag we own. We use them to briefly store our "pocket stuff" when going through security at the airport.

While standing in line, we place our jewelry, cell phones, pocket change, etc. into the pouches, stick them inside the carryon, and then put all the stuff back where it belongs when we reach the gate. We don't hold up the line retrieving our stuff from little bowls, but we don't need to check through the really big bag pockets to make sure nothing was pilfered by TSA. Since the pouch is clear, you can check at a glance that everything is still there before you leave security, and TSA has no reason to actually run fingers through your valuables.

Wow - thanks for that tip as well! Our last trip my mother and I were pulled out of the line and had her purse and both our carry-ons searched - at every leg of the trip, down and back. :confused3 I love the idea of having something (easily seen through) to put all of our valuables in so it can all go through the scanner and then return those items to our pockets afterwards. If it's not on our persons, there should be no need for the wand-and-search routine. (insert hopeful smiley here!)
