Keep or cancel?

We have an 8:15 breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace on our MK day, which Disney has now added the paid morning event to. Is there a point in keeping this ADR now? Will we even be allowed to keep it? Should we just go to a different park altogether?

We do love the characters at CP and have never eaten breakfast there, so we would still be interested in eating there, it's just that it was more appealing when it gave us the chance to see a not-so-packed Main Street and the chance for an early start on some rides.

You are allowed to keep it. Main Street shouldn't be overly crowded. The morning event people will be in Fantasyland enjoying their breakfast and rides. If you booked the reservation to be among the first riders at one of the Fantasyland early morning rides, you may want to reconsider. If you booked for the dining experience and a much less crowded Main Street, I'd keep it.

The EMM events appear have relatively little effect on crowds for rope drop or early ADR guests. As always, you will not be allowed to ride until 9am (assuming that is when the park opens), but you could be at the beginning of the standby lines, if you are done eating in time. I don't know that 8:15 will allow you enough time to eat, interact with characters, and still beat the rope drop crowds. Regardless, you will get the mostly empty main street experience and the characters you love at CP.

I agree with the others, I would keep it. I don't expect the EMM people will have that much of an impact on the crowd level on Main Street. Those people will have entered at 7:45 and headed straight to Fantasyland, so by 8:15, they should have very little impact on your experience.

Keep it. The EMM crowd will be back at Fantasyland while you will be at the front of the park. Might be tight to eat + meet all the characters + get back out before RD though.

Keep it. We were at Magic Kingdom for the first EMM event, and I was really upset about it bc I thought it would make crowds a lot worse....but honestly, it didn't make a difference. I don't know the exact number allowed, but it's pretty small.

If we keep the ADR, do you think we have any chance of getting on Peter Pan without a massive wait if that's the first ride we head to after eating? Our FP that day are for Splash Mountain, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and SDMT, and the original plan was to try to get on PP first thing .

Edited to add: Should we maybe drop our 4:25 FP for Splash and try to get one for PP, for earlier in the day? Is it more likely that we would have better luck heading to Splash first thing after our ADR, and then maybe Jungle Cruise, and then heading to Fantasyland, instead of trying to head to PP first thing? Our other FP's are for SDMT at 11:20 and Enchanted Tales with Belle at 12:20, with a lunch at BOG at 1:15, so I was planning on spending the morning in Fantasyland until our lunch at least, then going to other lands after. But I could let go of the Splash FP if there's a good chance on getting on first thing, and hang out in Adventureland until the Mine Train FP.

Also, what are the chances of getting Splash as a 4th FP? Haunted Mansion? I wouldn't normally think I will need one for HM but it's a favorite and the wait times today have been around 75-80 minutes! Everything in MK really seems high today, actually :/

I would head to Splash as soon as your done eating and change the Splash to FP to Peter Pan. After the event ends head to Fantasyland to do your FP's
Wow the wait time for Haunted Mansion seems crazy ! I know if you go right before closing and at opeing it is about a 10 minute wait. If you get done eating by 8:45 you could do Splash then do Haunted Mansion

I would change to get FP for Peter Pan. We did the EMM and the Peter Pan line was very long within minutes of RD.

I'm not sure , there could be one left. I have just downloaded an app that you can keep track of wait times and FP's that are left. I love it so far maybe you can check it out https://touringplans.com/disney-world-app. Yes you have to use all 3 before you get the 4th.

Thanks, I've been leaning toward subscribing and getting that app anyway so I'll check it out. Is Lines actually a part of that or a separate app? I did manage to get a FP for PP for a 10:10-11:10 window so hopefully we can spend some time in Adventureland without having to rush through breakfast TOO much and then head to Fantasyland. When you have a TP subscription you also get the access to everything in the Lines app.

Well...it's 1:00 right now and there is availability for Splash & Haunted Mansion. According to touringplans, this week is more crowded than 3rd week of August, so I think your chances of getting a 4th FP at HM are most likely yes, and very probable for Splash. I traveled last year (and will again this year) last week in August, first in week in Sept and those two attractions had availability into at least the early afternoon

We had an 8am breakfast at Be Our Guest this morning. We were let onto the mine train at 8:50. We rode that then went straight to Peter Pan and waited maybe 5 minutes. Ask for your check as soon as you are seated at CP. That way you can get out quicker once you are done eating.

Lol, sorry but we are going in August! Keep checking and hopefully you'll get an ADR for one of those dates! Several of mine I didn't even try for until a couple of weeks ago so things are always opening up!
