Keep calling about postcard/email rate

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had called a few weeks ago and asked if there was a code or pin number attached to my name. CM said no - none, not my name or DH's. Today I called to make a payment - of course I asked about AP rates and she said no they didn't know when they were coming out. SHe was really nice and said she wanted to check something, she came back on and said there was a pin attached to our names and gave us the email/postcard rate. It was only good until July 4th. Our reservations are July 1-4 and July 5-16 (broken us by season). Originally our first reservation for lagoon view at GF was $1887, now it's $1583, so I saved $300 today! It feels good.

I wonder why some CM's can find you discounts and others can't? Is it a difference in training, or in motivation?

I have called several different times, but maybe I'll try again tonight. Can't hurt! Thanks for the tip!

The funny thing was the first time I asked the CM to look if there were any codes or pin numbers and she said no. This time I just commented when she confirmed my email address, that I was glad they had it but that I've never received any email or postcard codes. THat's when she put me on hold to check. Who knows what rhyme or reason they use but it sure helped me since I was getting worried about APS. Now I'll have to worry about the AP rates for the second part of my trip July 5-16 since the code was only good until the 4th. I hope this helps someone else.

I would think the code with the pin would work like other discount codes in that if you check in before the code expires it would carry through your entire stay. I would call back and check on this.

Funny, I was calling every week to get AAA rate for poly GVC and the 4th time I called she put me on hold and said yes there was a room available.

go figure...so at least I have some savings there
