Who: Kaycee thats me!
What: This was my 10th visit to WDW. I had a few solo days at the end of my December trip, but this was my first entirely solo trip. I did meet up with several other DISers during my weeklong stay though.
When: May 9 16, 2005.
Where: I stayed at the Swan. This was my second stay there, and I had a fantastic stay both times. I visited each of the 4 parks this trip, along with Downtown Disney. I didnt go to any water parks. Most of my time was spent at Epcot due to the Flower and Garden Festival and the fact that I could live in World Showcase! I also spent quite a bit of time on the Boardwalk and visited Jellyrolls on several occasions.
Why: Because I had an AP and some money left over from my December trip, DH and 2 teenage DSs didnt want to go back to WDW just yet (go figure!), and Ive always wanted to visit during the Flower and Garden Festival.
The story: I did a long, detailed trip report for my December 2004 trip. Rather than do a complete trip report in chronological order this time, I think Ill just do a topical report and hit the highlights. Im also going to include pictures this time. I posted a dining report on the restaurants board so I wont mention any of my meals here. OK, here are the highlights of my trip:
Meeting other DISers: Before this trip I had only met one other DISer, and that was a short, random meeting in December. I had the pleasure of attending my first-ever DIS meet this time, and I also hung out quite a bit with a couple of DISers. I posted some pictures from the DIS meet on the DIS Meets board, but here are a few more. First, heres TigerLily03 and TLinden16 on safari:
Me, TLinden16 and Katypop:
The music: I enjoyed quite a bit of music this trip. I spent several fun evenings with other DISers at Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk. Here is a picture of me, a new friend we met that night, TigerLily03 and TLinden16:
This is me with Pete, one of the new Jellyrolls piano players, and TLinden16:
Although I didnt get any pictures, Snowark also joined us one evening and Katypop joined us another evening.
Another picture of Pete at work. Hes a great addition to the Jellyrolls players:
I also caught a few sets by Off Kilter in the Canadian Pavilion at World Showcase:
Theyre a fun group of guys, and it always amazes me to see the wide appeal they have. Youll see fans that range from toddlers to eighty-somethings, and every age in between, enjoying their music.
I didnt get any pictures, but I saw Epcot Vybe twice this trip. I really enjoyed their music, although I had my embarrassing moment of the trip when one of the singers pulled me out of the audience and serenaded me during Honeysuckle Rose. Luckily, no one I knew was there to take pictures!
Meeting the Disney characters: I always enjoy meeting the characters. I try to have at least one character meal each trip so that I can have some character time without waiting in line in the parks. This trip, I had breakfast with TLinden16 at Cape May. It was my first time there, and I was pleased with the character interaction. I also had good luck one morning when the character bus in Epcot came by. There were not many people around at the time, so I was able to walk up and get pictures with Mickey and Chip & Dale:
The Flower and Garden Festival: If youve never been to WDW during the Flower and Garden Festival, I highly recommend going. I wish I could share all the pictures I took of the beautiful flowers and topiaries, but there are just too many. Heres a cute troll topiary I saw in Norway:
Low crowds: Another big plus to going in May is the low crowd level. My previous visits have been in June or December very crowded times. Ive always had fun on my WDW trips, but the parks are much more enjoyable when the crowds are low. Here are a couple of pictures I took in World Showcase one morning when there was literally not another person in sight:
Im already making plans to go back at the same time next year.

I agree, the Flower & Garden Festival is a wonderful time to experience disney
I really enjoyed meeting you. I am hoping to make another trip next May again too!
but I think it has more to do with the many days that followed, hunting for lost luggage and all LOL
