Katrina Cruisin'?

It's interesting to think what those who are on this week's cruise are doing. Anyone out there on the cruise now? Pixie dust to all those who are there!

Anybody come back from the Katrina Cruise? Any interesting stories???

Just went to dcl website and they have a Weather Update on their home page. It apears the cruise has not been impacted...

Today was a planned Sea Day on the Wonder and I think they had good weather for Castaway Cay yesterday so -so far - Katrina hasn't really affected anything. I'm watching the NOAA site for watches and warnings but don't see anything that should cause a big problem tomorrow.

It looks like the storm is right over CC. Either way, I don't think anyone will be getting too close to CC for a few days.

I don't really think that will be a problem since the Magic is in Acapulco and the Wonder isn't due in Castaway until Saturday. By then Katrina's scheduled to be in the Gulf on the other side of the Florida peninsula.

All the buildings on Castaway Cay have been designed to handle high winds and Katrina's not nearly as bad as the storms last year.

You're right, CM_Mom! We just had 1-year Surviving Charley parties on my side of the state (Punta Gorda, to be exact), and while no one knows where these things are going, it does look like it will be a small one. We're built for that, and at least we have some warnings!
