I saw it. It's not the kids being on TV that he objects to (his own daughter has been acting I think from an early age). He doesn't like that Kate has been seen spanking the kids. He thinks she has anger issues.

I personally thought this last show showed the kids the happiest (other than crying when they couldn't see the whales) I have seen them. The most relaxed..IMO. Other than her screaming when she did see the whales, I thought she too seemed more relaxed.

I personally thought this last show showed the kids the happiest (other than crying when they couldn't see the whales) I have seen them. The most relaxed..IMO. Other than her screaming when she did see the whales, I thought she too seemed more relaxed.

I actually enjoyed the show, the only comment I have is that Kate needs to stop all that screaming and howling. She sounds like a little kid. Maybe if she were a little quieter, then her kids would be also. I can't belive the one child having a fit because she didn't see the whale, but at the same time, if Kate were more calm and quietly gotten her kids to the other side of the boat instead of her screaming like a 4 years old girl, the one kid could have seen the whale on the first time.

Like I said, I actually enjoyed it and I thought Kate was relaxed, until the whales, I have just never seen or heard such noise from an adult.

I wonder if maybe she didn't have a lot of these types of experiences as a kid and she just can't contain herself. Of course it would help if she didn't have a mic clipped to her, so everything is magnified LOL.

Yep, the whale talk was very cute. And I though Kate was very chilled out except for that. I loved that she didn't freak out over not having organic food for lunch, she went with the flow, very proud of her.

I MUST go to Alaska now. I always wanted to go but now, I REALLY want to go.

We got a book in the mail for Alaska, and if you want to do it right, it says, to fly into Alaska and spend a week in one territory, then take a cruise ship down from Segway to Seattle or Vancouver.

In the beginning of the show, Kate mentioned that they would be in Alaska for 2 weeks. The show only high lighted 3 days. I wonder if they are going to have another show with them in Alaska. I know they spent a day with Sarah Palin, so either the Gosselins will be on Sarah Palins show, or it will be the other way around.



It was funny when Kate did the whale call.
It made me wonder if they taped that after or before.
They way Kate screamed, it was probably before.

so did they not show any of the interaction with sarah palin (and family)? interesting-it might be that they could'nt salvage any decent footage.

back this summer when the actual trip was taking place there were reports that the gosselin/palin get together was a total disaster. apparantly, the original plan was for both families to go camping and the gosselin kids would also get some nature/science learning experiences (i think sarah's dad is a retired science teacher) but a few hours into the first day kate supposedly threw a fit when she asked where the bathroom was and was handed a camping toilet (bucket with a seat attached) she ended up storming off the site, kids in tow when it came time to eat and she did'nt like the food that had been brought for the kids-i think they said that the gosselins were gone from the site less than 3 hours after arriving. the palins ended up finishing out the campout while kate and the kids spent the night at a "modern" cabin. they ended up hooking back up with the palins later the next day at the pailin's home, but apparantly it was'nt too friendly b/c kate and the kiddos departure from the campsite involved some pretty nasty insults being thrown out on kate's part.


i may have to check out palin's new show to see if they air anything.

Hmm, it wouldn't surprise me.
Maybe that is why Kate made such a big deal about going in a grocery store, and just buying peanut butter/jelly, bread, crackers etc. because there were no resturants, "just around the corner." I remember doing that a few times on vacations, and I remember growing up, and my parents stopping at grocery stores, and just running in and getting bread and something else to just make sandwhiches.

I know I heard Kate say, they went to Alaska for 2 weeks, and they got 3 days of coverage. I'm sure there is going to be another show on Alaska. Remember when the Tuttles from OCC brought the bikes for the Gosselins. Then a few weeks later, the OCC had the Gosselins on their show, and the OCC showed a whole lot more of what happened that day.

Whether they believe in Santa or not, it won't be stop the gorgeous kids from having a Merry Christmas with plans to celebrate at both their mother's and their father's home.

As for their wishes this year, it seems that they have their minds made up and each have their own picks for presents - even if they don't come from the North Pole.

I tell you, I really have never liked Kate, but somewhere deep inside I thought that maybe she was ok and that the kids were great and that the things she said are true. Well she blew it on the GMA interview, or whatever am news show she was on. She said that her kids were in acedemically challenging school and that with this and the divorce, the kids were just not doing well. LIE. On the show, one of the little ones didn't even know what triangle was. Sorry but any 6 year old, especially ones in a school such as the one those kids are in, should know their shapes. Kate is nothing but a liar. Those kids aren't doing well. I am not saying this as a dig against the kids but she is in total denial. Period. I have really had it with her. She needs to deal with her kids issues and stop acting like they are all fine and dandy.

At this point I think everything that comes out of her mouth is crap. I just hope at this point that Jon keeps his mouth shut, she kept saying this was private and now after her show, she has to go on TV and talk about it. This is all for ratings and nothing else, I don't believe she ever planned on keeping it private. Had she talked about prior to the show, they probably would have gotten lower ratings. But everyone had to tune in to see what was up, THEN she decides to talk about it. Nothing anyone ever does is right, she is the only one in the WHOLE family that is doing right by those kids. DELUSIONAL.

We really don't know how much Kate is involved with their schooling, but you almost get the feeling that once she puts all the kids on the bus, she has no interaction with them, till the return. Maybe she wants it this way, but with private schools, they are always looking for some kind of volunteering. Whether you read with students, or help with playground duty, there is a way to help.

TLC's first families will collide on Sunday's Sarah Palin's Alaska when the former governor takes Kate Gosselin and her brood camping.

"I have never camped for real," Gosselin says in a promo for the episode.

Gosselin, who made no secret of her dislike of outdoor adventures on Jon & Kate Plus 8, is seen hiking through the woods with her eight kids and covering her ears as Palin shoots a rifle. She also is caught crying for food.

"I am freezing to the bone. I am hungry," she cries, slamming a sandwich to the table.

Either 1 they got kicked out or 2 that school isn't as great as she lead s us to believe. Sorry but if the school was that good, I doubt her kids could have passed the entrance exam, I know our school like that here works that way. I have seen the entrance exams. She isn't darned if she does darned if she doesn't. I think she should have kept her mouth shut PERIOD. I agree if they need extra help, I am glad they are gettting it, this is about her and her delusions about her kids. I am proud of my kids, but you know the saying Thou does protest too much. Well her gushing is just a little over the top, probably to cover for short comings. She should learn to keep her mouth shut.

I guess I didn't see what you did. I didn't see her acting like her kids were so much better than anyone. People here kept saying, if her kids weren't tossed out, why wouldn't she come forward. So she did, and you think she's a liar. I thought her kids went to private Christian school..and here there is no entrance exam for that. I don't know that she's a liar..and I don't much care. She did what most parents would do, stuck up for her kids. As for if the school is a good one or not, I don't know. Maybe like a lot of private schools they aren't equiped to handle kids with problems. I don't know if the problems are because they are a bit behind, maybe as premies, or really trouble makers.

As for the camping show, maybe it will be like the motorcycle show and be on both shows. Or maybe it was always meant for SP's show. I never heard either way...just that they were with her.

Wasn't the original lure of the reality show that she and John were an ordinary family raising a family of multiples?
Let me ask this..what exactly is ordinary about her any longer? She is a celebrity. How exactly is this show "reality"..especially for the children? I must be the only one on the planet...but I just don't get it.

Okay..she's got eight kids. She isn't the only person who's had to raise eight kids. So, the idea that she needs to keep the show going to support them, sorry but I don't buy into that. Yes, they're multiples..and that was interesting while they were young. I mean there was a certain curiosity to see how a so called "ordinary" couple raised this large family.
At this point..these kids aren't babies, and their mother needs to think twice about having their lives chronicled in every sleezy tabloid at the supermarket check out.
Particulary in regard to her two older girls. The time has come to stop this...before it comes back to kick her in the rear end. Although it looks as if that's already started. At some point..the cameras will go away. The children are going to be in for a rude awakening. I think they will face many of the same issues that so called "child stars" have faced when their shows and celebrity come to an end. Wouldn't it be better for Kate to put a stop to this now, while the kids are still young enough to adjust and acclimate to a life out of the limelight?
