Inside Kate's World

Spouting the mantra of "Kate Clean Slate," the newly single Kate Gosselin has already become a new woman in a matter of months. In this episode, see a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse into the daily life of Kate Gosselin.

I thought this was a joke! I didn't know she would actually do it!! :lmao:
Watching Jon and Kate Plus 8 was always my guilty pleasure. I knew it was bad for the kids but I could never turn it off. I'll be tuning into the first couple of episodes.

I'm really excited for this. I hope it's a lot different than that last season of JK8. I'm assuming there will be no Jon so no bickering. I hope they do a lot less, or no more, of the let's-see-what-fame-led-trip-we're-going-on-this-week episodes.

Just set my DVR~I really hope that this can be a postive in Kate and the kids' lives. Not sure she knows what else to do in life besides being in the limelight. I wish them well.

this is exciting!! :yay: i cna't wait!! :happytv: the media is sure to have a field day with this one!

episode #1: the sextuplets birthday extravaganza ... at Discovery Cove in Orlando.

Maybe it's the only trip they'll be taking all season. :upsidedow

I'm tuning in at the begining. I hope they have learned to keep the private stuff out of the show. The kids are cute, they seem to enjoy doing the show (at least that's what we see, and it's hard to make kids look happy if they don't want to).
I can only hope some new legislation will come out keeping the paps away from children. Take all the pics of Jon and Kate you want, but leave the kids alone.
As for trips, I can't imagine they won't continue to have them, since I'm not sure what else they will show. Some of them have been very interesting and a lot of fun to watch, as the kids experience them.
Does anyone know how many shows they have planned? I was under the assumption that it's a truncated version, and not a full series.

i don't see why the kids should not keep taking trips with kate.. when they go places like to the dude ranch, or when they went to sea world, etc.. :)most of is like a learning experince for them an i think it's great! :) nice way to mix some education in with fmily time..and i hope they don't take any more photos of jon, i don't want to see his face anymore..he is disturbing...

i can't wait! i LOVE Discovery Cove, it should bring back some good memories

I don't know if I will be watching. From the commercials it looks like the same old thing. More trips paid for by TLC. Hardly real life.

I don't think it'll ever go back to the way it was when they'd go on little trips to Hershey Park or Sesame Street but I just hope it's not most episodes. Good advertising for Discovery Cove though :thumbsup2. I wouldn't be surprised if the ratings for this are huge (relatively).

I agree. I doubt it will be little trips like it used to be.

Yes. Huge ratings for Sunday.

They're still paying her money, right? Of course she'll do it!
From a business angle, she knows that she has to take advantage of these opportunities while the kids are still little and cute. People won't tune in to watch 'em once the kids are teens -- especially if they turn out to be surly types. She's paying for college. Or therapy.

Most people have real life at home. TV can be an escape, or a dream of someday we could go on a trip there, which is why I watch the travel channel.
The biggest thing that will be gone is the disrespect between her and Jon, and I think that will make for a better show.

What about the disrespect between Kate and the rest of the humans...? ;)

I've always wondered about this. I think 90% of people would agree that it should be illegal to take pictures of your children for publication in any media without the parent's consent. When I worked at a preschool we had to have permission from the parents to simply have their kids' pics in our monthly newsletter. Today's version of the paparazzi are paid, glorified stalkers.

those poor swim teachers. and train conductor at day out with Thomas, oh that poor choo choo driver, and the dog breeder, and furniture salesperson (I use "sales" loosely since no money was exchanged) and crooked house people and organic farmer, and her brother and sister in law, all those non nannies, and the barefooted camera crew, hopeful family helpers, paid family helpers, volunteer family helpers, penguin keeper, Disney host, former residents of her mansion, Beth, and the nurses at the nicu reunion, and, and, and.
