Kate and William just finished a tour of NZ and Aust, and took in an ANZAC day service while they were here. That's what I love about them. Despite the goldfish bowl William was born into, they were able to have a pretty normal college experience and courtship. Diana and Charles were pretty much an arranged marriage and he couldn't stand the publicity she got. She was too young to handle it. Even though Kate gets a lot of press, they are a little more even and he doesn't seem to mind. The way he looks at her and the baby, it's a look of pride.
One thing that jumped out at me about them at the service was when Kate placed a letter at the tomb of the unknown soldier, the words she wrote were so heartfelt and you could really tell by the way they were holding themselves that they were taking the moment very personally, I suppose it really strikes a chord with Kate having William done real military service.
I have actually, a new found respect for them after this, and I think William having Diana as a mother although ended up tragically for her, I could never imagine Camilla Parker-Bowles being the parent of a future King or Queen, she just doesn't and never had the class.
I wish they'd bypass Charles for the throne altogether and pass it straight to William although I don't think William would like it all that much, he's a bit too hands on
