Kate Middleton

::yes::

Too bad we can't trade the Kardashians for her.

Why even compare Kate to the Kardashians? It's not like the Kardashians are royalty. :confused3 Every country has their classy people and, well, others.

What I don't understand is why the press keeps calling Kate by her maiden name when she's been married for three years. Calling her Duchess Kate seems more appropriate than Kate Middleton.

If you go to some royal forums like royaldish.com they really DISLIKE Kate.

A forum where a lot of people dislike what others like and probably make snarky comments? I don't believe that a place like that even exists :rolleyes2

I don't understand why the States even cares about royalty from a country you have nothing to do with.

Speaking for myself, it is because we don't have royalty is why it makes it so intriguing, not to mention there is so much history with royalty that has actually affected the US.

I think she is a lovely young woman. I think the Royals should be very proud of her. She handles herself like a lady, which is very refreshing these days.

I love that she's trying to keep it normal (and love that she went straight to her mother's house after the baby was born). Still, the whole "royal duties" thing sounds boring to me. Then again, I'm not huge on monarchies - which is also why I like that they seem to be scaling down the size of the extended families' royal"ness".

As for the die hard royalists that don't like her...well, you know...she's this low class, well educated girl whose parents are from new money. How trashy of them to work and create their own fortune. ;)

I don't know why a positive lighthearted thread is bringing out the nitpicky in people. I'd just like a few more Kates in our news and a lot fewer Kims, Kourtneys, Khloes, Mileys, Lindsays, Snookis, and JWowws.

It's very common for the BRF to wear local designers when they are on foreign tours. It's not unique to Kate in the least.

Actually she's a Duchess not a Princess. If and when William becomes Prince of Wales she will be Kate, Princess of Wales. But she is currently not a Princess.

Right. Royals have been wearing local designers forever.

Officially, Kate also has the title Princess William of Wales but it is apparently incorrect to refer to her as Princess Kate.

I agree!

Much better choice than Diana as far as I"m concerned. I think they picked Diana because she was young, healthy for babies, and uneducated and they thought she would bend to them and they could mold her as they wanted. And they were surprised.

Kate is older and educated and more independent before she came into this. I like it when the current batch of princes around the world pick smart educated women.

Not to mentioned extremely beautiful! Wow.

Whilst I agree with some remarks, Diana might not have shone as a scholar but she was not uneducated. I loved her, but that's my opinion.

Kate is utterly charming ....beautiful inside and out.

I agree that Kate is a breath of fresh air in the royal family. :thumbsup2

That said though, she needs to get cracking. She knows she has one job in life above all others....... to produce and heir and a spare. She's only half way there. And at age 32, she's no spring chicken in this game.

Besides. I love royal baby watches. :)

She's only 32 not 42 she has plenty of time for heavens sake!

Well, I was only about half serious with that. ;)

But not even the royal obstetrician can guarantee it will happen when they want it to.

I love her. I adore her. She seems so kind and she is just beautiful. She doesn't miss a step. She is what a princess should be.

I totally agree. :)

That red coat she had on was beautiful and who ever tailored it to her body is amazing.

My ovaries would disagree with you.
