Kate Gosselin

Kate Gosselin is the biggest whine bag going. I can't stand her. I don't see any different behavior on this show than I did on Jon and Kate Plus Eight. I don't excuse what Jon did; but yes, I sympathized with him long before now. The woman is a shrew.

I'm sitting in the amen corner for that!

While I don't in any way condone the way Kate often spoke to Jon with a complete and total lack of respect when they were married, I personally feel that Jon's behavior is light years more inappropriate than Kate's. He started running around with girls way younger than he is, smoking, drinking it up, etc. Not excusable in my book.

I'm the opposite. I understand the way she was with him because he's nothing but a man-child.

And once again, I feel like I am watching a different show than everyone else because she just seemed really frustrated and asking for a different way to learn the steps. He took it as an insult that she was telling him he did not know how to teach. But look at what Buzz's partner did for him to help him understand, she made a map for him. Not that it helped much, but she was making an effort to try and get him to understand.

I took it the same way. She just wanted to learn the steps in her own way.

As for the original question, no.

ETA: From everything I read about Kate and heard about her and saw the clips from her show, I used to think she was a you know what. However, since her and Jon split she seems to have taken the high road.

I don't think the high road exists to either of them. To me the high road would have been to leave the spotlight altogether and do something for their children (another novel idea for the 2 of them). Instead they both continue to pose for the cameras at every opportunity, while, as I said before, the kids continue to be raised by others.

:thumbsup2

I just don't see it either. I read all this and then watch and see these interviews and am like :confused3

Now, I agree, the girl can't dance. It'd be like someone trying to teach ME to dance. But I just don't see what the others are seeing yet.

Ditto this.

I just wish they had stayed together and contained their toxins to themselves..instead of branching out and spreading...uggghhhhhhh...there are so many decent folks out there, can we put them in the limelight for a while?

Jon & Kate deserved each other! They are both nobodies who became somebodies because of a TV show. They have no talent and never will.

I feel so sorry for Tony having to put up with Kate. She is beyond ridiculous trying to tell him how to teach her. I bet they paid him extra money just to stay on the show because they knew they couldn't pair her with anyone else.

A leopard never changes its spots and Kate's a good example of that!

She loves to play the victim.

Lashes out at people, acts like a total witch and expects others to take it without daring to challenge her.

When they do, the "victim Kate" comes out and so do the waterworks. :sad2:

I totally agree :thumbsup2! I guess others see it differently. But I think Jon is such a slacker and I can see how frustrating that is. Also i think Kate just wanted to be shown the step because she is having trouble learning. Just seems so many have it in for her :goodvibes.

Nope.

I feel I'm watching a different show, because some of the people on line, only see Kate making faces, being frustrated, having trouble understanding what she is supposed to do, etc. and none of the other dancers.

Jon's last interview said he was watching the kids while Kate was away. I thought he said he was there for 12 days, until she came home to practice.

She could light her dance partner on fire and I still wouldn't feel bad for Jon!

:rotfl:

I find it hard to believe that Kate wasn't controlling and dominant BEFORE they got married. That's just the way she is. He married her. Just like I am sure he was a spineless spleeny snivelling twit before they married and she married him anyway. :confused3

I haven't been watching DWTS so I don't know what's up there, but I don't blame Kate for going on the show. They're offering her money to do it, which she needs, so it's like a temp job. Many women have nannies watch the kids while they work.

I don't condone a lot of her behavior, but still -- I think it's good she's trying to earn some cash. I wish she would stop spending it all on unattractive clothing and hair extensions (or maybe all that is free?), buts still!! :rotfl:

So what has she been doing on DTWS?? Is she as snappy as she was on her show??

I do remember feeling sorry that Jon had to put up with her, when I used to watch the show.... but these days, I don't feel sorry for Jon in general. Hard to sympathize with a guy who makes such bad decisions.

Unfortunately I think Jon and Kate are one of those couples who brought out the worst in each other. Jon is a passive aggressive boy child. Kate is an overbearing controlling person. Put those together and what do you get? Oh ya, J&K+8! Seriously though, these two have their own issues. I think Jon's behavior has been atrocious since he split from Kate. As far as Kate goes, I think she's still scrambling to keep her 15 minutes of fame rolling. There are so many reports of her diva-ness that it's hard to ignore. Are all of these reports wrong? I'm sure some are exagerrated but still, she seems to have a less than warm and fuzzy reputation. Isn't it strange to see a woman who many of us have never met so disliked? I've never seen anything like it!

No I'm with you. I think Tony took an insult where there wasn't one. She was trying to ask for help and he got high and mighty throwing the "I'm a professional dance teacher and no one has questioned my teaching EVER" card. I though he was kinda babyish about the whole situation.

She isn't a dancer. She has NO experience and no rhythm so maybe, teaching methods DO need to be changed for her. I can't go into a class with people and start calling out dance terminology and expect students to know what to do. She wasn't going to get the actual technique. IMO he did need to show her what it was supposed to look like so she could at least fake it better.

I didn't really watch Jon & Kate + 8 but from what I've seen, I totally get why she treated Jon that way. Man-Child is totally appropriate. She'd be working hard with the kids and he'd waltz in and torpedo the entire thing. Truthfully, he reminds me of my 8 year old with his 2 year old sister. I'll just get her settled and eating and he'll bring up going outside or a bath and BAM, she'd done with her dinner and all gung ho to do what he mentioned. It's frustrating with 2 kids...imagine 8!
