Kat or Taylor?

Just wonderin....do all the Taylor fans love other lounge lizards? I keep thinking he would be great in Vegas but not necessarily on the radio.I can totally see all the lil ol ladies going to see him and Wayne Newton,Tom Jones and the gang.

My votes will go to Katharine. I just think she fits the AI machine better than Taylor. She will be the one they can mold into what they want in the record business these days.

Taylor is great but I don't think he will be easily lead into the Idol machine.

I don't like lounge lizards...or being asked if I do.

I see Taylor as a comparison of Ray Charles or Joe Cocker, he has a soulful way about him that endears me and makes me want to get up and dance.

And if lil ol ladies like him, God bless him. We'll all be one, if we're blessed, one day.

I voted "neither". But not because of Chris (who I did love). It's because I was a huge Elliott fan, and now it doesn't matter to me who wins. I'll be watching, because I'm curious, and because I really love the show.

USA Today has an article with some cute quotes. They describe the competition as "The unusually pretty Katharine McPhee and the pretty unusual Taylor Hicks" and "Gray vs. Anatomy".

His voice is great, so relaxing. I love it. Katherine is great too, but I really like Taylor. (not that I think he is the best dancer in the world ) I was surprised this poll was so lopsided, I think the "official one" will be a lot closer. Gray vs. anatomy, thats a good one.
He is different from idols in the past, a little older, more mature voice. I have liked them all, but sometimes a little change is good.
I loved Chris too, btw, and really thought he would go all the way, shows what I know.

That said, I voted for Taylor in this poll, as I think he has been the most consistantly good-to-great of the two. Plus, I think it's pretty cool that the past three winners would then be about as diverse a group as you could get (Fantasia, Carrie, and Taylor).

Besides...since the Final 5 were announced three weeks ago, I've been a card carrying member of the ABE club. ABE = Anybody But Elliott. Since he was the worst of the bunch - and since the two finalists are my personal favorites out of the entire group this year, I don't much care who wins at this point. Probably won't even vote, but if I did - and I wasn't completely floored by 3 "Over the Rainbow" level performances tonight by Kat - and was being honest, it would have to be for the poster boy for Tourrette's himself.

I have to say that I like them both! I was actually hoping for a Chris/Kat finale a few weeks back!

I will be voting for Kat! However, I think that Taylor will win. I honestly hope that Taylor wins, because Kat will be better off. If she wins then people will cry foul, and say that the whole thing was "fixed". Nobody would ever believe that she won because people thought that she was talented! And then I guess that people will say that she won because she was hot! I'm a 35 year old woman who will vote for her because of the potential that I see in her. Unfortunately, she has been beaten up on because of her mistakes, and the fact that Chris was voted off before her. I just hope that she does well tonight and goes out on a high note!

In any case, I wish them the best of luck in their careers. They will both do well. Actually, I feel that several contestants will do well from this season.
