karaoke is hard!

My mom bought me a karaoke cd of Hairspray and Thoroughly Modern Millie for Hanukkah, and I've been trying to sing along with it. I don't know the songs as well as I thought I did! I keep hearing myself go off-key or in the wrong octive. Sometimes I completely loose track of where in the song the music is because it's not playing any of the melody!

I'll definately have to practice a lot before I'll do these for an audience!

Actually, I'm 25, but I don't like the taste of alcohol.

I'm a trained singer, though, so I like to be prepared when I sing for an audience.
