Kanye West

Kanye was known for instability before she married him. I’m not saying what he’s doing is okay, but it’s not as if it wasn’t foreseeable. Why would anyone marry into that?
I really wonder about the young 24-year old woman who is dating him now. He's a big personality who can attract as many beautiful young women as he wants no matter how instable he acts. It's starting to feel a little "cult-y" to me.

He is rich, famous, and not unattractive. He will never be short of women, no matter what his behavior.

Yes, and that concerns me. It normalizes his behavior, both to the girls and women who are attracted to him and to the boys and men who admire him.
I agree.

The victim blaming here is disgusting. Why on earth would anybody hold celebrities to a higher standard?

sadly, these comments don’t surprise me, as I literally called it in my first response.

Anything you say after the word ‘but’ negates anything you said before.
Not celebrities in general. Most celebrities (an actor, singer, etc.) who “do a job” are famous because of that talent and will be recognized. It comes with the career, whether they like it or not. KKW is a celebrity because she seeks out attention, drama, scandal, and headlines…..any way she can. Nothing is off limits. That has been a big $ win for her, however, it comes with risks. She chose to marry a man with a history of instability and I’m pretty certain his fame, wealth, and ability to help her pull in even more fans was a big part of that decision. I’m also pretty certain she will play every one of his current actions to her advantage, to get even more LIKES and headlines. She may be shameless, but she’s very savvy.

ETA: Basically, I do not believe there is any situation, no matter how scary or tragic, that she can’t or won’t exploit to gain more LIKES, followers, or interviews. It’s that simple. It doesn’t excuse Kanye at all, it just helps explain my opinion of her.

So...if Kanye West does something horrendous to either Kim Kardashian or Pete Davidson, because of her past actions she especially will have deserved it? Because that's the vibe some of you are putting out in your posts. It's appalling.

No, not at all. His actions are his responsibility.

Like I said. Appalling. In one breath you say you don't excuse West. In another you say she'll exploit a tragic situation if it occurs. Classic victim blaming.

So, because I married a man who I knew had mental health issues, and wasn't (at the time I met him) getting treatment, I deserved the treatment I got?

I don't have dis safe words for my thoughts.

"Ye," as he is presently known (changed his name legally) will perform at the Rolling Loud festival at Hard Rock Stadium in scenic Murder Gardens, FL in a few weeks.

Not sure which weekend it is, but we have other plans and are unable to attend. So sad.

You call it victim blaming. I call it The Way of The Kardashians. Publicity 101. I guarantee you a team of KKW publicists have been on this from the beginning, deciding the best, most advantageous way to spin Kanye’s egregious behavior.

He was a POS the first time I heard of him (interrupting Taylor Swift at whatever awards show) and nothing he has since done has made me change my opinion. Indeed, most of his actions have reinforced my initial impression.

As for Kim K, oh well, she picked this loser knowing full well what he’s about, so boo hoo hoo for her problems. Her stunt went away and now she wants to play victim.

At the moment it’s the Kim K. lookalike. He’s using her. She’s using him. Most of the women he dates are Instagram models/personalities, up and comers who are trying to make a name for themselves. All publicity is good publicity for his dates.

I think Kim fit this bill when they first met.

Except they haven’t. She hasn’t. She has released a statement saying what he’s done is hurtful and she hopes they can continue to co-parent respectfully OFF of social media. That’s it. She isn’t out there talking about him. Or posting to social media.

There doesn’t need to be a spin anyway. Kanye is posting this all to his OWN social media. It’s out there for anybody to see - if you catch it before he deletes it all. Again, how can she be blamed for his actions.

This is disgusting. She isn’t playing a victim. She IS a victim. Do you say this to all abuse victims?

I’ll save my empathy for real abuse victims. Not those who willingly joined the Leopards Eating People’s Faces party then whine when the leopard ate HER face.

Screw her. She deserves all the misery she’s getting.

The problem with that thinking is it means she has to never disclose it, it can never be found out (and people will dig up legal records or police records and post about it on their own), it means she has to sit there in silence because the moment she opens up and discloses anything things will get likes or people will follow her or ask for her interview. Unfortunately the problem with your thinking is that you'll twist and warp that into her doing it just for that. You want her to sit down and shut up because to you anything that comes from her is her just attention seeking regardless. That's kinda awful don't you think?
