Kanye west pays $3900 to have Indian Food delivered.

Exactly.

Wasn't he the one that ignored the teleprompter on a show to raise money for Katrina victims and went on a rampage about how GWB hates black people:scratchin He is very concerned about how many of his "brothers and sisters" are living in poverty. Now he does something like this? Could you imagine how many people he could have helped with that embarrassing amount of money?

Ah, but it is his promoters doing it:rolleyes2 If he were any type of man, he would have stood up and said "NO. I don't want to do this, It is frivolous and , after all, I accused someone else of overlooking My People. I must help Them instead of making a spectacle of myself".

So obnoxious.
:thumbsup2 Yea, like thats going to happen.....:lmao:

I don't see the problem with either a private individual or a private company spending their money legally. Sure it's over-the-top, but they can do with their money what they wish. I wouldn't want people judging my decision to spend more than $3900 on a trip to WDW, or a new front door, or a new fence, etc.

I know how Kanye feels!! There are some nights when we're down here at our house in Florida that I'd pay 10X that for our fave neighborhood Indian restaurant, right around the corner from our apartment in Manhattan, to deliver. When you find good Indian, nothing else compares!!

I must say I'd think more of him if he gave that $ to some Katrina victims.:rolleyes2

Bono forgot his hat somewhere, so he had it flown to him...with its own first class seat.

I remember hearing about that.

I heard talk of Bono being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Interesting. :scratchin

Mmmm... Indian food. My favorite.

But uh, yeah, you can find it cheaper in NYC.

Well, lets be fair - we don't know how much he has or hasn't given to Katrina victims. I mean, I've given money to Katrina victims, I didn't tell my friends and neighbors how much I gave, as I don't consider it their business. I wouldn't be fair for them to wonder, as I loaded my new couch into my house, how much that money could have helped Katrina victims.
I assume the costs of the meal will go towards the promotion costs, which eventually come out of his profits.

Maybe to some people, it's either immoral or impossible to be both eminently wealthy and exceptionally charitable? :confused3

Isn't that the truth! Some of my friends probably think it is ridiculous that I spend thousands and thousands on Disney trips. Let's see..... I paid $6000 last year just to get a Dole Whip. Bad me!

Maybe he already gave money to a charity. Who are you or anyone else to judge what the person spends their money on? Are you saying that all money that isn't for necessities should go to charity? Do you forgo your Disney trips to help out the Katrina victims? Just curious.

Kanye isn't paying for it, a record promotion company is.

And it's all charged back against royalties in the long run. Same idea as PFP, tour support, even the postage to send out advances.

How do you know he hasn't already given a bunch of time and money? Or should we just make the entire world one big Socialist economy?

Frankly the guy makes a boatload of money, and if he wants to spend that much on dinner, so be it. Who am I--or anyone else--to hold it against him?

Anne

Well, I could care less but I do think its strange because our local radio station said that he has never had food from there before:confused3
