Kanye West is a total.....

And just to add, I love Beyonce and think she's very talented! But her video was not earth shattering. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, I get that it was a pop culture phenomenon for a few months, but it's pretty much just some unique choreography, not incredibly creative or ground breaking.

"Kanye West is a total"... marketing genius. Who was the biggest talk of the night... Kanye and Lady Gaga. Who has a tour coming up (just announced yesterday) with a theme about how fame destroys people... Kanye and Lady Gaga.

I'm not defending the man. What he did was terrible, but it was also pure Kanye and it did everything he would have wanted it to do. Every person complaining about it and tweeting about it is just giving him all the publicity he wanted. Anyone who would be put off by this, is likely someone who Kanye has pissed off already with his past antics, so it does nothing to hurt his core fanbase and everything to help him get his name in the news again and give him a platform to promote his concert tour about a man destroyed by his own fame. Guaranteed his entire act at the VMA's from showing up on the red carpet with the bottle of liquor to jumping on stage and being kicked out was carefully choreographed by him to get just this sort of attention. He'll get a ton of press now and in a few weeks when the news is fading show up on some interview full of contrition and talk about how fame and all this pressure is getting to him (conveniently tying back to the very theme of his tour).

Kanye West  is
classless, tasteless, ignorant, a L O S E R

always has been and always will be. His behavior is that of a selfish child that always has to get his/her own say/way, SAD life.
Even sadder that Beyonce was pulled into it, she looked shocked. How mortifying! By the way, I agree she is quite talented but

CONGRATULATIONS to TAYLOR SWIFT, well deserved!! :cheer2:

added:
read his "apology"
which was no apology, just another rant, his justification saying he is "real". SAD!

Point is, People Buy his trash and thus, who is the fool??? Want him to Know that we, the public won't tolerate his outburst?

Don't buy his stuff, don't listen to him, add your comments to blogs telling him.
It is all about the almighty $$ and he'll get none from my family! h
KANYE = LOSER!

I don't even know who Taylor Swift is but I just watched the you tube video because of this thread.

To ruin a moment like that for an award winner just shows what a uncivilized person he is. Money doesn't buy class. What was he alluding to about Beyonce's video? She should have won because...?

Isn't his mother the one who died during plastic surgery? How would he like to be interrupted rudely by someone when he's on stage crying about his mother? I would hope no one would be so inconsiderate to him.

I hope I don't get points for that. I'm merely expressing my opinion, not slamming his deceased mother.

:worship::worship::worship:

INfamous is much longer lasting than FAMOUS!

Let's just imagine that a white man did that to a black woman:rolleyes1

The headlines would be screaming racism.

So sick of the double standard.

Oh--And to complete the sentence:: Kanye West is the product of a mother who didn't care enough to teach her son manners and a father (who was a Black Panther) that taught him to have a perpetual "whites are bad" chip on his shoulder.

Furthermore, I like Beyonce, but I'd really like to wipe that smile off her face. Yes, I understand she was "shocked" but she was also smiling. I don't know about you, but when I am shocked about something embarassing or tasteless or wicked, I don't find myself smiling from ear to ear like some brainless goofball either.

Aww how awful!! Taylor looked like she was about to cry. Shame on Kanye! Grow up boy!

I agree with you. It's to the point where every award show has to have some shocking event for people to talk about afterward.

People need to stop buying his crap, and the industry needs to stop inviting him to these awards shows.

I thought her smile looked more like she was wondering, "Is this for real?" like it was going to be revealed as a big joke or something.

Doesn't she happen to have a song/video out collaborating w/ Kanye right now?

My take on her expression wasn't shock. I think she knew she was coming out smelling like a rose today, because I believe this is an event where they know the results going in.

Let's do a quick tally:

Kanye -- everybody's talking about him today, he has "apologized", oh, and everybody's talking about him today.

Beyonce -- She comes out looking like a class act.

VMA's -- everybody's talking about the VMA's today.

QUOTE]

Actually, on some awards show shortly after his Mom died, he was accepting his award and there is only so much time alotted for the thank you speeches. So the awards start playing the music to get to the next segment and Kanye made a statement about how rude it was for them to do that.
Kanye would never do that to another artist such as Eminem or someone who would call him out right there. He was just acting like a bully.

Well I was going to download Golddigger today but Kayne won't get my $1.99.:rotfl2:I'm sure that'll hurt him.

That was just so classless. While I am not a Taylor Swift fan she won and deserved her time in the spotlight. I feel bad for her. All I know about her is this and the fact that one of the Jonas brothers dumped her. I hope she has some good stuff going on in her life.

Although I thought she looked shocked, I also thought she looked flattered or something. I would have been mortified (along with shocked) and I don't think I'd have been smiling.

With his track record, while would she do a song/video with him? He is totally classless. Why are people like him even able to make it in this business? As a society, we're nuts for buying into this kind of crap. We help create these monster egos.

I think Taylor Swift will be just fine. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders so far. She'll likely benefit from this also because people will look into her music and learn more about her too.
Still, a terrible thing to have happen to you and while I didn't think about race while watching the replay of this, the pp has a point. If the roles were reversed, we'd of seen all kinds of race remarks made. :(

I think all these award ceremonies are dumb anyway...these artists get the chance to get on stage & act so immature...it never used to be like that. How could you not feel bad for her-I can't imagine that being staged-and if it was-shame on all of them. What is happening in this world today where people are just so rude & obnoxious? No consequence for their bad behavior-that's all I'm going to write before I get carried away;)

Actually it wasn't all that unique. There was a youtube video of a (I think Spanish) singer and 2 other gilrs doing a video like that, it was from the 60's or 70's and it had very similiar choreography. She put her own spin on it, and I love her too, but it wasn't anything special, IMO.

I think she was probably wondering if the whole thing was staged. I think if the camera's were on me and that happened, I'd look the same. I think she was very gracious to let Taylor have her moment, Beyonce is what Kanye will never be.

Kanye West is a total - megalomaniac. He's just nuts and so self-absorbed.

I never watch videos so I have no idea what Beyonce video he was talking about - can anyone link it for me?
