Kade's Wish - MAW

Happy belated birthday Kade!!! He is such a cutie!!! Love the boys in their glasses!

Jason, do you guys live near St. Louis? We go there for weekend trips about once a year. have always wanted to go to the Magic House!

Our flight doesn't get in util 3:00....and will have orientation at 7:45. I would really like to try to go to Downtown Disney this day..do you think this is possible??? I know someone said they sometimes have an afternoon orientation..anyone know what time it is?

I think the afternoon one is at 3 sorry
I would say by the time you get there and settled in you won't have much time to go to DTD.

I think by the time you get to GKTW, you'll want some dinner and checking in (it took us a bit of time to check in) before the orientation. Sorry!!! Orientation was about 90 minutes when we were there.

DTD is fun though!! I hope you can figure out some time to spend there.:thumbsup2

Josh I think it will be TOO much to go to DTD that night. I thought about that too adn I have 3 teens - granted they all have mito so tend to tire easy. But that night Jake and the boys went to the Pirates Party and played games at Amberville while I did the orientation.

We arrived about the same time as you will - we got to Orlando about 2:20 and to GKTW about 3:30. Check in took a bit and then we actually went to get some dinner at Katie's Kitchen - Boston Market - and then went to the villa to unpack. My mom as she came from Florida had arrived a few hours earlier so she was unpacked and she took the boys to Amberville while I unpacked. She watched them while I was at orientation.

After orientation, we had some ice cream and went straight to bed. Granted we have a breakfast date at 8:30 am with the Princess in Norway at EPCOT, but I am going to go out on a limb and say your boys will be a bit too tired for DTD and you may end up with cranky boys.

Wednesday is Village Idol and a lot of fun. My 3 boys acted as judges this past week.

Just ask if you have any questions.

I think I have it figured out!! I even got the ticker thing!!

Ok So now that I have my own account....what about the pin trading...is this something that everyone does? My boys are 5 and 3 and I am not sure they would get into it. Although I have read from some of you that people will try to trade with you. What if you don't have any???

First Happy Birthday Kade

I bet your 5 year old might like pin trading. We started DD at about 6.5 but she had asked about it earlier. She started by just trading with cast members and now will occassionally trade with others at Disney. In a way it has helped her come out of her shell.

There are plenty of people who just wear pins and don't trade.

No need to keep me inline Wendy. I am a good boy!

Annette - what do you say about that???:lmao:

If you arent wearing pins, people wont ask you to trade - so dont worry or anything. We do the pin trading sometimes. You usually wear a lanyard that has pins on it. You can walk up to case members who are wearing them and look at their pins to see if there is something you'd like to trade for. Kade probably wouldnt be into it - he's so little. But, Jackson - and Josh - lol - might be!! When we were there last spring, we went to the Disney Outlet and got a bunch of 99 cent pins to trade at WDW. I have to say, the cast members were very nice to Daniel and sometimes traded him 2 pins for one!!! Its fun, but not a necessity!!:wizard:

Wendy---this is why I shouldn't have my own account...we will go back and forth...just wait......and to answer your question... absolutely not!!!
