Long pre-amble to the short question, should I be concerned?

Sun, nov 15 we are going to MVMCP so I booked my fastpasses for that. In the morning we're going to AK & Kilimanjaro Safaris is our must do. We were just planning on heading there right at 9am. DW has changed their hours to open for 8am. I *think* we should be able to get there for 8am.

But for some unknown reason I decided to look at the FPs & there's nothing available until 9:45am (for 2 people). So does this mean we're going to have a huge wait in the stand by line?

If you don't show up until an hour after park opening, then yes, you can expect a wait in the standby line. It should be a fair bit under an hour, though, and will certainly be lower than later in the morning or early afternoon. Head to EE and Dinosaur after that. Those are the 3 biggies to get under your belt first.

You will be waiting.
If you arrive at 7:30AM (if the park opens at 8AM) you will beat a lot of other standby guests.

You need to weigh whichever is more important:
Sleeping later or waiting longer.

If you get there right when it opens and head there first the line definitely should be shorter then if you go later in the day. From my experience people usually head to EE first also. So the Safari line should be good at RD =)
