Justins Wish trip :) Pre trip report...

So I bought some material...I am inspired to sew by all of the amazing talented people here on the Dis, and also because I'd like to contribute back to the BG's and need to find my "thing" cause cakes just don't travel that well. That being said I am a hobbyist and will likely change my mind a zillion times or at least every give I do...

But I bought these materials in mind for Miss C and possibly a few friends kids or maybe baby J (C's lil' sis) If we ever get another visit, but that's another story.

So I'm hoping by the end of July to have at least a couple things made, but no promises!

PS: The x-ray results: Justin does have sinutitus and is on a round of amoxil.

PPS: I am mailing thank you cards to Mommy2MRB & DizniDi today
Please let me know when they arrive if you don't mind, I have no idea how long they will take

So yesterday our coordinator gave us Justin's package!!!
in it was all of our travel papers,tickets etc. & a letter for the flight attendant(s) so they know this is Justin's special trip so they can announce it on the plane, He will be over the moon while I will be bright red!!

A really pretty rainbow bookmark and a travel pillow with 2 pillowcases for Justin. & Pins for all of us.

I know YIKES!!! I bought a $0.99 app for my phone that has been counting down from 48 days, but a "real" one would be cool...

Thanks I am really happy with the fabrics but don't see any time in the near future to work with them But you never know!

I agonized over what to do for the thank you cards. But I'm really happy at how they worked out, Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

So glad your Wish package arrived. That must make this trip all the more real.

We are traveling the same week too, june 9 for dgs birthday. The day school gets out, we are driving this trip. Fell in love with the thread and can't wait to read more. Have to tell you reminded me we are leaving in less then a month.

We were down in March a week on site, but dgs wanted a birthday in disney and we had annual passes this year. Driving down on Friday, arriving Saturday.

*Blush* Thank you Andrea for the compliments. My brain is buzzing! But I have to resist, there is just too many other things that need to come first! And I found out my MIL is coming at the end of the month (she hasn't been out here in years, we usually visit in BC) during town days, so I want to get things spruced up & ready.

Hi Wendy! I think I may be on to another idea for BG's for our (rainbow) wish coordinator I bought those sovworski (or however it is spelled) beads & made a bracelet it turned out really cute! I also have hair clip ideas buzzing too so we shall see. Yes we are all excited!!!!!!

The appointment with the sleep specialist yesterday was so interesting! I really liked the doctor and she made some really neat observations about Callie and her FASD, but the meeting started off really unexpectedly, after spending about 30-40 min. with the girl who works with the dr. asking me questions about everything and anything regarding Miss C she walked in the room introduced herself and said "so what's your secret? and I said something to the effect of uuummm?Huh? and she said Your secret? You are obviously an awesome mom, you should be a mentor and I was all whaaa?Ok?huh? and somehow they've taken my number and added me to a list or something it all happened so fast? Completely unexpected but really good feeling to get Kudos.
So apparently the results of the appointment that we are doing all of the correct things & now we are checking Miss.C out for restless leg syndrome and childhood sleep apnea...We will keep you posted.

And then today we met with the foster /adoption intake worker and have started the ball rolling to possibly adopt one more.....

AND Another BG came yesterday (I will post those pictures tomorrow) Justin is just amazed he remarked "I wonder why I keep getting packages?" The mickey mail is making him feel so special already. Little does he know a postage slip came tonight, so we will head to the post office tomorrow. Exciting!

For Camera's I use my iphone 4s more and more, its so easy to use because it's always with me, the downside is that I'm running out of room!
For the iphone I especially love my hipstimatic app!! I'll post a couple sample pic's later..

For point and shoot I use a little (red) FujiFinepix that fits in my pocket or purse...and my SLR is a Pentax that I usually have set to manual or aperture priority setting (I love using shallow depth of field) like in the apple photo.

Yes, as for meeting up in the park, earlier in this (mostly ) PTR I listed our mostly firmed up plan..... does any of it match up with your plans?

MaeB Thanks!! I just need to get them into albums its almost overwhelming because I take so many pictures (for example there are 788 on the iphone and I just upgraded to the 4s this winter) and there are thousands and thousands and thousands on the hard drive... we went to digital in 2003

LOL but the off topic TR as it is, refreshing and really been heart warming to read. I did have to skip a few pages to catch up, as it is soon that you leave.

We arrive on the 8th, I did see your schedule. Will be in touch as I get our plans more organized.

The photo's are great, the Apple 4s does not accept a mini card or link to download?
I just got a SLR last year and keep it on auto settings, the Panasonic has been my go to camera for work. I use both at Disney.

You are smart to have so many photos for memories when you all grow old. As my kids grew up we had only film and it was expensive and many photos did not turn out.

I am 57 now, and wish I had many many more of the kids growing up, trips. I was lucky that my Mom, snatched up all the extras and made photo albums.
