Justine & Adam 4-21-12 SBP/LSS/SCP--Updated 9/30

Your PS trip looked like so much fun!! I had Rosie too for my wedding and absolutely loved her. She made getting ready at 4:30 am more fun than I had ever imagined :)

We had our rehearsal dinner at Raglan Road with a prefixed menu and I'm so happy we went there. They have an area called the Snug Room which I think can accomadate about 25 people. I think it came to 35 a person for 3 courses plus whatever people drank. We were also able to use our tables in wonderland cards to get 20% off. The room is in the main dining room but it's tucked away so it feels very private. The food was so delicious my mouth still waters thinking about it :) It was also easy for everyone to get to DTD

I know your wedding will be absolutely beautiful and you're going to love the Living Seas!!

Looks like such a fun trip!

* Love the Christmas party pictures, I can't wait to go someday!
* Your hair looks great! Your make-up came out really nicely too, I think it is a perfect look for you.
* That backstage tour sounds awesome! I'm thinking about doing a tour on my next trip and trying to decide which one, so that's a real possibility :)

I loved the tour! I've been wanting to do one for years, but never booked one because there's always soooo much else to do. The Christmas party is great and I love the Halloween one too.

Awww it looks like you guys had so much fun. I'm glad you spent $50 to realize that Cape May wasn't for you! Definitely worth it. And I'm glad to hear you liked Keys to the Kingdom: we're doing it on our honeymoon, and I can't wait!!

Also, your hair and makeup looks so pretty. You're going to be such a purty bride. :goodvibes

You'll have so much fun on the tour! I'm glad we spent that $50 too, lol. Plus, the food was good.

Aw, thanks for the compliment too!

Your hair and make up look great!!!!!

Thanks! I really liked Rosie a lot! I was a little nervous there would be lots of awkward silence with just the two of us in the room, but she talks enough for at least three people :rotfl:

Yes, Rosie is great! And you looked amazing! We are waiting to get our BEO back before we decided what to do for the rehearsal meal, but we've eaten at Raglan Road before and loved it!

I can't wait to see the LSS again!

One last note: It's official. I'm tired of waiting for my BEO. I'm starting to stress about it being like $40k or some other obscene number we can't afford. I just want it NOW!!! *sigh* Ok, I feel better...well, a little at least. Supposedly we should have it before Christmas. I hope so. After all, I have been really good this year :littleangel:

I'm wayyyyyyyyy behind... but still here :)

I'm sad we didn't get to meet up, but things just were crazy once we were there!! Your floral BEO looks great!! Was that one of the Canadian Cider Wine's in your picture?? MMM I loved that stuff!!.

Sorry you didn't like Cape May! It is hectic in there!! The Captain's Grille is more laid back--they also have a pre-fixe menu, or maybe one of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants??

I hope you had a great birthday!!

I like how she did ur make up & hair :lovestruc but like u said a little bit bigger & taller will add that special touch... the make up is just right 4 u in my opinion though...

Wow... I don't know where I have been for so long on your PJ, but... Your food tasting session looks amazing! I have just eaten my dinner to.... and I could so eat all of it!!! The glass slipper looks beautiful too! :)

I love the photos from your trip too!

Your make up and hair trial! Wow... I think your make up is stunning, your eyes are lovely! Hair looks lovely and bouncy too! I think you are right for wanting it a little bigger on the day... make more of a statement! But you will be a beautiful bride! I always thought that even from your 1st engagement photos! hehe

Anyway... Ill try and keep up to date with the PJ now!

Lots of Love

xxx

4 months holy guacamole I can't believe it!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc
:love::love: :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Oh, and we got our BEO--it was only a smidge over the budget we gave Disney, so that a HUGE sigh of relief, although I will def being doing some tweaking to it. I will post it here as soon as I have enough time to type it all out.

Hello! I am a bit late but better late than never right?! What a wonderful PJ, so much fun to read. Your ring is to die for!!! OMG you got a Tacori!!!! He did good. I hinted and hinted for over a year for a Tacori to my DF but he apparently didn't get the hint :( I have had a few ring problems but they are being solved so no worries. Anyway, enough about me, this is your PJ! And that ring is fabulous. :worship: I like how you two matched your e-ring and his wedding band, too sweet.

You and I share a similair under the water theme so I am really excited to find another Disney bride that can share ideas based on that theme. The colors you have choses are just beautiful and I can't wait to see more. Thanks for sharing such wonderful stuff. I'll be back soon to check out more. -Courtenay- :)

Dessert Party 50 guests

Custom menu $35/pp 2255.14
Outdoor set up fee 90.53
estimated event total: 2345.67

**She forgot to add in that we want the music piped in, which according to other people's BEOs should

be another $822 making the total more like $3,167.667

Ceremony

Custom Audio System 835.00
Location fee SBP 2000.00
Enchanted Rose Photo Package 5225.00
Memories Video Package 3300

**I was under the impression we would get 10% off if we used Disney for both photogrpahy and video so I

need to ask about that! That would save us 852.00!

Tropical Ensemble 1700.00
Floral Package 1783.00
Move fee 50.00
Limo 4 hours 398.04
Motorcoach 8 hrs 814.80
estimated event total: 16,105.80

**seriously considering cutting the audio package...we are only worried about the audio for the video.

Reception

50 Cheese Display $14/person 902.06
Bartender fee 106.50
300 hosted house wine at $7 2706.17
**there is no way we will actually drink this much, so I fully expect to get quite a bit of $$ back here after the wedding

40 plated dinner (salad, Jiko filet, mac and cheese, and veggies) 89.00 4587.59
**we also have a scallop option for $85/plate
10 Kid's Donald Duck 2012 26.50/plate 341.49
4 Chef's choice vendor meals 118.56
DJ 1400.00
3 Characters 1800.00
Estimated event total: $11,962.37

Portrait Session
Extra park EPCOT $300

Total: 31,535.84

**Our cake isn't included because they said they couldn't mold each of our pets and put them on there!! So we are going to discuss why this is impossible...I've seen what they can do and I find it hard to believe they can't make our pets. Either way we are going to get a 3 tier mad hatter so it should come to about $1,043.75 based on other's BEOs. I also think we might end up adding on a dessert party photo package for about $350.00. So that would bring the total to $32,929.59 We wanted to stay at or below 30k, so some places we are thinking of saving cash are def insisting on the 10% discount for using both Disney photo and video (-852.00); changing the pre-reception to fresh sliced fruit and yogurt (-350.00); That would put us at $31,727.59 for everything we want which is totally do-able. *sigh* Do ya'll see anywhere else to trim? Anyone have input on whether we really need the mics for the ceremony?

Justine,

Can't believe it's 4 months away. That means it will be spring here and I can't wait for that! :)

It looks great! You are so close to your budget. Way to go! :cool1:

That is really weird that they are saying that they can't do your pets. I have seen a lot of cakes that have the couples fur babies on them. I hope they can do it, since we want to put our babies on our cake too.

I would definitely check about the discount on the videography and photography. I am also under the impression that there is a discount if you use both. I am counting on that myself. I also think that when you use a videographer that they will mic Adam and your officiant for the cameras. I vaguely remember when I spoke to Kirsten at Bruno White that that is what they do.

Hope you and Adam have a fabulous holiday!!

Wow, u stayed so close 2 ur budget... Good job :thumbsup2 ... i really cant c where u can cut cost other than the 10% discount... another thing is that if ur guest cancel or if u dont drink as much u will get a nice chuck of change back after the wedding... the mics u might need since it is an out door venue with a nice size group they might not b able 2 hear u but i am not sure... Merry Christmas :santa:

Yay for getting your BEO! :woohoo:

And congrats on being 4 months away!

I was so excited to see it show up!

:dance3: 4 months!! :dance3:
So close!! :cheer2:

Lol, I do love my ring. I actually felt bad because I knew he wa paying for a "name" but I couldn't find another design I liked as much. Thanks for the sweet comments! I can't wait to see all the stuff we picked out come together on the actual day...

Yeah, I don't what the deal is with not being able to put the fur babies on the cake...I will find out! What even stranger is that it wasn't my idea, I think our planner mentioned it...I can't remember for sure, but she thought it was a great idea and didn't give any indication it wasn't do-able. I am also def asking about the discount! Lord knows they charge enough for those services! I checked out some videos on the Disney site and they do have the groom and officiant miced so I am seriously considering axing that. We aren't even going to use the cd player. I hope ya'll had a great Christmas!!

Thanks! I know, there's really not much fat to trim...I think Adam and I can project our voice pretty well. I hope you had a fab holiday!! I saw your pretty jewlery on your PJ!

Thanks for posting your BEO! It's very helpful!

No prob! I know how helpful they were/are to me. I need to find the long thread and add it there too.

Guess what? I’m getting married this year!! Yay! Ok, now that we that out of the way….I put together a list of changes/questions for our planner in regards to our BEO. Adam and I also sat down and had a “come to Jesus” meeting about our budget. I wanted to make sure he knew how much our costs outside of the BEO are shaping up to be. As I figured, he had definitely underestimated the amount. Fortunately we were able to head off an ugly situation by talking about it now, rather than 3 months down the line. We have been saving for ages to pay cash for everything wedding related, so it was important to sit down and conservatively estimate where our savings needs to be in order to meet our overall goal.

In other news, our personal floral arrived!! Thanks to Meredith’s (irishwishes) PJ I found out about www.plumeriasweddingflowerboutique.com I loved Meredith’s flowers and once I saw how awesome they photographed, I was sold. For $339 I got 1 ten inch bride’s bouquet, 1 eight inch bridesmaid’s bouquet, 8 boutonnieres, 4 wrist corsages! Here’s a photo she took and posted on her facebook page:

I really love them and I think they’ll work perfect, and it saved us a lot of money—plus they’ll be exactly the same when we have our park photoshoots two days later.

We also decided to spend the wedding night and the last two days at Disney at the Boardwalk Inn rather than the Grand Floridian. I just really couldn’t justify the cost of staying at the Grand, especially since our actual honeymoon is a week in St. Lucia. Plus, we’ll stay in the same area for the whole wedding stay, first at Beach Club and then at the Boardwalk—which we have never stayed at before. I think it was a good decision. We’ve requested to switch our comp night over to the Boardwalk and use it the night before the wedding so Adam will have his own room to get ready in and he’ll already be there for pics beforehand. Hopefully they’ll let us stay in the same room the whole time, if not we’ll take care of it that morning.

Hmmm..what else? We should be getting our invitation proof soon. I can’t wait to have it in my hands. I can’t remember if I mentioned it, but we are using Momental Designs www.momentaldesigns.com They have been awesome to work with. We wanted something very “us” and they have more than delivered. I bet you want to see them, don’t you?? Well, you’ll have to wait *maniacal laugh* But I will tell you that they feature not only us, but all 4 furry members of our family too as well as lots of tropical floral. I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years!!

Justine,

Your flowers are gorgeous! Excellent choice. What a great keepsake.

Good idea on the budget discussion. Better to be prepared than have problems later.

OMG! I looked at the invitation website! Wow! She does gorgeous work. Can't wait to see what she comes up with for you, epecially with the furbabies.

Speaking of furbabies, hope you get the cake issue worked out. I know I have seen others who have done it, so it would be weird after suggesting it, that they couldn't do it.

Wedding is this year!! Very exciting! :cool1:

Omigosh those flowers are gorgeous! I love them SO much. :goodvibes That was really a great find.

And I'm trying to figure out a place to cut--- but I can't! You'd have to give up things (like a character, for instance, or hrs of photo) and I am sure you don't want to do that. Bah!

Hmm...I like helping trim BEOs for some reason...so here are my suggestions:

1. Don't get separate floral for the head table, just move the ceremony arrangements there (you're paying a move fee already)
2. Get rid of ceremony audio (we are using SBP and don't plan on getting audio)
3. Get a cheaper entertainment option for the ceremony...like the guitarist ($575). That would cut over $1,000.
4. Cut one character

Thanks--I'm really happy with how the flowers turned out. I can't wait to have an actual invitation in my hands....hopefully it will arrive this week. I have delegated the task of addressing them to Adam because he has really lovely handwriting. My handwriting looks like that of a drunken sailor.

Inquiring about putting the kids on the cake was def on the list of things I sent to our planner...we shall see.

Thanks for the suggestions. I def think we will axe the ceremony audio. All the other stuff I really want, lol. We did ask about getting a lower price on our pre-reception menu since it will be early in the day and we will have a heavy dinner. We had also originally included the landau coach and I cut that as well. I think we'll end up somewhere we are comfortable with.

Hey Justine,

Knowing how much you love the Ducks, I thought maybe you would know the answer to this. I see you are having 3 characters for your reception. I assume (hopefully, not incorrectly) that 2 of them would be Donald and Daisy. My question is...what outfit options were you offered for them?

Thanks!
