Just wondering .....

Ok maybe I am sensative tonight or just need to take my pms meds but why does it seem like if your not "one of the old timers" here that you get ignored. I have posted, tryed to chat etc etc and even asked direct questions that never get an answer.
So I just wonder is it just me that feel like this?

Awwww, that's not true. You just haven't found the right threads yet. Don't feel like that, I remember when I was new....I felt the same way until I found those that I "cliqued" with...OK? Keep trying, you'll find your nitch

It happens to me all the time and I've been here for a long time. Don't take it personally. Often times the only response I get on a thread is for someone to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

My tip, avoid the controversial threads. You'll get more notice on the friendly ones.

Naw...it isn' t just you....I've been around a while and it happens to me all of the time. So, just join the group and don't worry to much about it...it's just like school was with the cliques...

No it's not just because you are relatively new here. I've been around for quite some time and get ignored more often than not.

I will post a reply and then someone else will post almost exactly the same thing after me and everyone will jump all over that reply and ignore mine

Who knows why, I sure as heck don't.

Just keep on posting and you'll find your place here. I know that I have.

It happens to everyone from someone with 1 post to 100 posts to 10,000 posts. This board is just so fast and you just never know what kind of response you will get. Some things I post I think will get a large response and they are ignored. Others that I never expected end up getting 10-15 responses. Maybe it is just the phases of the moon....

It happens. This board is a busy one. I get ignored all the time. Does it bother me?....nah. I just post what I want to post and let it go. Every once in a while someone will say something in response to one of my posts and it may go back and forth, but the majority of my posts just go by. Dont take it personal. And yeah, it sometimes feels like there are cliques here, but who cares. Be your own clique!

You're doing fine, Lori. Like Becka said, you just never know. I can ask a serious question or post something I think is neat, it might get one reply and off to oblivion. Other times, all kinds of replies and input. I recall one from some years ago, I posted about wishing everybody a nice trip to Chicago, it wound up being a 3 day free for all, with a whole clique demanding to know what secret meaning I had behind what I said, LOL. A few weeks back, I recall (well, I searched just now to see what it was) one thread I started had 19 views, one reply. Well, I thought it was good, LOL.

This board here, the CB, moves VERY quickly, the busiest by far here on the DIS. Posts/threads can get buried quickly, especially if the clique and game threads overwhelm at times. Just enjoy it, jump in when you feel like it. If you post a real controversial thread, you'll make a name for yourself.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel like I am invisible. But that's okay. I am not one to post on a thread if there are already 10 post saying the same thing that I would say.

If I feel like I can add something of interest I do. There are some threads here that it is just better to ignore. Cause sometimes if you don't have something nice to say it is better to say nothing.

Some days I can't even find a thread to respond to. I mean there are some really silly ideas that people want to talk about. I just shake my head and continue on my way.

As others have said, just don't take it personally.
