Just wondering .....

I bet most people at one time or another feel invisible on here. I know I do sometimes.

I even killed a thread today. :sad2:

For me personally, I only read posts that either (a) interest me or (b) pertain to something I feel I am knowledgable about, if they don't then I usually overlook them. I do have to admit if I see a post by someone I "know" then I am more likely to read them, but I only reply if I have something to contribute. I don't intentionally ignore anyone.

I know some days the boards move faster than others and some days posts get pushed off of page one in no time at all. I also know that I don't always get lots of replies to my posts, so again, I don't think it is intentional, at least it isn't for me.

I kill threads all the time, and apparently we're not alone since there's an entire thread devoted to just that. I even killed that thread once for a good 3 hours!

Another great topic of conversation is reusing your disney mug from the last vacation! That raises the hairs on the backs of the purists necks!

Did somebody say something? :listen:

KIDDING!!!

Hey, I often feel the same way as you do, for a lot of reasons already mentioned. I don't recall seeing your user name before, but I do like your sig, too! :wave2:

Don't take it personally. I'm an old timer and I'm constantly ignored. :hippie:

Sometimes I will feel really strong or passionate about something and it will be totally meaningless and no one will even respond to it on the CB.

Then I made a small comment on the boards about people's accents and that thread took off like a rocket. So you just never know.

The Theme Park Strategies Board and CB are the fastest moving boards. It cracks me up on the Theme Park boards, questions that get asked over and over and over, but tons of people love to talk the Disney talk.

It happens to everybody! I quoted one your posts earlier.....hey, if you really want to get a response, post something about the following:

Eating before paying in grocery stores
Returning carts to the corral

:rotfl2:

Now you have my attention!!!

I have killed LOTS of threads and I try not to take it personally, even though for awhile it was getting hard not to! :teeth:

And dustysky, be careful posting this--the last time a thread like this was posted this is what happened...

Ok maybe I am sensative tonight or just need to take my pms meds but why does it seem like if your not "one of the old timers" here that you get ignored. I have posted, tryed to chat etc etc and even asked direct questions that never get an answer.
So I just wonder is it just me that feel like this?

Hope I dont get slammed for this question.

Oh no, I feel like that alot but I feel if I keep on posting I'll find my niche. Plus somedays I'm more sensitive then other days. You aren't alone!! :grouphug: :cheer2:

Welcome! I agree with all the previous posters. This board does move rather quick. It really is a great group. I like to look to see which threads take off. The one I am most intrigued by is the one titled "test." Anyway, don't take it personally if your threads don't get a response. You can always try to bump them up if it is important.

:confused3 Do you know how many threads I have where nobody responded? :confused3 A bunch!!! They were interesting too; bunions, hot flashes, toll booths, movie endings, buttons :confused3

Trust me, you are not alone... definitely not alone!

I've been here many many years (before the date under my name, even) and I still feel ignored now and then.

Sadly it is the nature of the boards. Don't give up though, most people here are awesome and happy to make new friends :)

My tip, avoid the controversial threads. You'll get more notice on the friendly ones.
Feralpeg, you do not know what your talking about. You get tons of responses.

Geez, some people. ;) :goodvibes

Ok its a new day and I took my cry baby pill (m&m's and ice tea).
I guess in the end even if you never got a reply (which i have) it wuldnt matter because just reading here is SO infomational, funny, and entertaining.
So thanks everyone .....

P.S- thanks for the compliments on my siggy , I LOVE making them :)

I totally agree, Michie. I found your button thread to be riveting bit not quite what it was sewed up to be :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I am not one to post on a thread if there are already 10 post saying the same thing that I would say.
If I feel like I can add something of interest I do. There are some threads here that it is just better to ignore. Cause sometimes if you don't have something nice to say it is better to say nothing.

Some days I can't even find a thread to respond to. I mean there are some really silly ideas that people want to talk about. I just shake my head and continue on my way.

As others have said, just don't take it personally. :flower:

This sums up my posting motto!

This is a Tag waiting to happen. TAG FAIRY !

Another one that feels that way also...I think it just depends on the day. Hang in there and welcome!! :goodvibes

I don't think responses depend so much on the newness of the poster as they do on the interest or mood of the CBers. Some posts are interesting topics to more folks than other posts. Some folks only like to post on controversial threads, ie reliigon or politics. Some folks only like to post on the happy or fun threads.

About starting new threads---it also depends on the catchiness of the title. Sometimes vague titles get people to look at threads, other times people skip over them. When I'm really wanting to get responses I try to be very clear in the title so that I'm more sure to attract posters who might know something or want to comment on what I'm asking about, etc.
