Just wondering why CRO would have AP rates...

but Member Services would not have Member Discounts available at SSR? Is it because inventory hasn't been declared as DVC property or what?

They come from 2 different room inventories. CRO gets their rooms from member tradeouts & DVD owned rooms (including undeclared). DVC gets rooms from owner's points. DVC only releases member discount rooms when they expect rooms will not be reserved for points. Are there any points rooms available for your dates? If not, I would not expect member cash rooms to be available.

Yeah they said there was a lot of availability. There were member discounts available at OKW so that's where we ended up booking. It just really surprised me with new buildings opening like they are that they wouldn't have disc. available for SSR but would have for OKW.

Who knows. I think we will be better off at OKW anyway. The bigger rooms and two beds in the studio portion will be much nicer.

As already posted, MS only makes rooms available for the Members' cash discount if they think that all of the rooms in the points inventory will not be reserved by members with points.

For your dates, they either think all the rooms will eventually be reserved by members using their points or maybe SSR is too new to have a good formula available to predict it. Many new purchasers will want to use their points at their new home right away, so maybe they are more conservative about releasing rooms for SSR right now.

It's possible that they will release rooms for a member cash discount as it gets closer to the dates.
