just wondering...has anyone been denied an add on due to credit issues?

advice to think 3 times before you do it is NEVER BAD ADVICE for anyone.

Some people definately see themselves in the OP's post. I don't. I know I can't afford to buy more points even though I have thought about it and I have great credit.

I bought 220 points (2 110 point contracts) at BLT back in July at one of the pre-opening presentations at what I think was a very good price of $95/point. They are currently at $120 I believe since Sunday Nov 1 and Timeshare Store has had contracts listed already at over $100/point, and I have STILL questioned whether it was a smart move I made, and I paid cash for it. I keep telling myself that if a car died tomorrow like your bumbershoot's scenario, or I lost my job, or some other horrible emergency happened, and I went through my savings, I could at least put it up for a likely quick sale and break even or come close to it. I also have 230 (150 & 80 pt contracts) at BCV I bought at $80/point with a lot of banked points and they are listed at over $90/point in similar situations. Even knowing this, I continually question myself and to run the numbers and ask myself "Does it still make sense? Does it still fit our lifestyle? Can I still afford this." We have already reached break even on our original BCV contract from '02 as long as MF's don't get insane, right now I'm still not sure when our BLT will make sense. I have been hoping for a DVC at CR for many years and admit that I did get caught up in the presentation, very cool I might add (video of my daughter being pulled from her chair and dancing with Mickey on my site), and felt that the price was a really awesome once in a lifetime chance.

But I will still go over it every year and make sure it's still right for me, even without credit, job, or health concerns piled on top.

I think the problem here is no one asked for advice regardless if the advice is good or not. They asked if bad credit would stop them from getting the disney loan and that seems to be a no in this case.

I agree. That's why I stopped posting in this forum. I got tired of it. :snooty:
We can no longer afford DVC.:sad1: Hard times makes one realize life's priorities and DVC was not one of them. Good for the poster who came out of bankruptcy and made a clean start and shared it with us. My new years resolution is to live below my means and have no cc or cc debt.:thumbsup2 I can hardly wait to hear the brouhaha over my ticker now....BHAHAHA

A reminder here to everyone that arguments and sarcasm are fobidden here on this DIS. With that, this discussion is closed....
