Just Won a Trip to DW!!!

This is the best news I've heard all day. I am really happy for you. Lots of the meals are big enough to share, especially with little kids.

THAT is awesome!!! Congrats and have a fabulous time!!

Oh, and Welcome to the DIS!!!

Definitely eat in the room. My cousin packs a box of cereal and the spoons and disposeable bowls. This leaves room for items you might buy. We eat cereal bars, bagels and fruit. This also saves time in getting to the parks in the morning.

We use the Brita bottles, too. You can save a ton of money and calories by drinking water from these rather than buying lemonade or soda. They are also good for good tasting water in the rooms.

Pack snacks like peanut butter crackers or fruit snacks.

The best money saving idea is to set the amount of souvenier money you will spend. Get Disney Tshirts before you go. They are much cheaper that way.

That is great. I always thought those contests would put you up in a value.

I have to admit, I am very surprised that we got the Poly! I figured it would be one of the values for sure so that they could keep the costs of the contest down. The prize has an 'approximate' value of $4000. However, when I priced the package through the Disney website it was MUCH cheaper. So who knows what taxes will be. :confused3 On a side note, my 11 year old daughter is obsessed with Hawaii so I think she will really get a kick out of staying at the Poly!

I would like to do either the HoopDeeDoo or Liberty Street Tavern character meal. The reviews for the Ohana show haven't been too good and I keep hearing that it lasts a very long time- I'm afraid we might get bored with it.

Once we get our flight info and 'itinerary' I will email the lady from Disney who is handling the arrangements and ask about a meal plan, making reservations for the character dining, and such. Hopefully I will have that info by next week.

I just hope we can fit everything into the short time frame we have :teeth: .

CONGRATULATIONS! :goodvibes I'm jealous - I haven't really won anything cool like your Disney Trip. Have a grand time! Be sure to post on "Trip Reports" on how your stay went. :earsboy:
