Just when you thought you've seen all the MAGIC! **See Page 95 for PTR!!!!**

When we woke up it was Sunday March 13th. We weren't heading to a park today. We had a birthday party to attend. Melody's cousin lives near Orlando and it his son's birthday is only a few days after Juliana's. We got ourselves ready and left POP and drove to the..... Poly? No the party wasn't there, although that would of been pretty cool, we had to eat breakfast before we could party, and what better place to have breakfast than 'Ohana!

DSC02014.jpg

Well, thanks to you, I can think of a better place (can you say, Kona?).

I checked in and Juliana found herself a few leis.

DSC02013.jpg

A Hawaiian princess!

and these little beauties were brought out to us.

DSC02020.jpg

I want one now!

It wasn't long before we had some visitors. First was one of my favorites- Pluto!

DSC02023.jpg

I love Pluto...he's always been a favorite.

Next Stitch stopped by. For some reason Juliana loves this furry blue alien.

DSC02024.jpg

Oh, I'm sure Marv will love hearing that.

We finished eating and were waiting for Mickey.. he was only a few tables away when he headed for the kitchen. He was back in a minute and continued with the tables but for some reason he skipped us. I waited a few minutes to see if he was going to come back and it was clear he wasn't. I talked to our waiter about it and he was able to get Mickey for us. Mickey seemed to apologize an he actually hung out with us for a few minutes...

Hugs for the mouse!

DSC02037.jpg

Glad Mickey made it over.

On the way out of 'Ohana, Juliana wanted to take a few pictures with her 'friends'.

DSC02040.jpg

Great pictures!

Melody can't get enough of Kona coffee and she stopped here for a coffee to go.

DSC02041.jpg

I can certainly understand that after our visit in September.

Our resident photographer Juliana took this one.

DSC02047.jpg

Juliana gets better each time she takes a picture.

A passerby saw Juliana taking the picture of us and asked if we would like a family shot. We couldn't say no.

DSC02048.jpg

Nice family photo.

Wow, you snuck one in on us during thread closing??? :confused3 :lmao:

Poly? No the party wasn't there, although that would of been pretty cool, we had to eat breakfast before we could party, and what better place to have breakfast than 'Ohana!
An Ohana breakfast, then a party? Sounds like a well planned day.

We were waiting a few minutes when Juliana gave us the 'can I have some change to make a pressed penny' face.

I think we gave in this time...
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: But just this once... right?

I waited a few minutes to see if he was going to come back and it was clear he wasn't. I talked to our waiter about it and he was able to get Mickey for us. Mickey seemed to apologize an he actually hung out with us for a few minutes...
Well, you can't stay mad at Mickey... and at least he was remorseful about skipping you. :thumbsup2

I think I had 5-6 glasses of it.
Ohana tip #179: Ask for a seat near the restroom.

We left 'Ohana at the Polynesian and started to drive to Melody's cousin's house. They live fairly close to Disney and we had a nice drive to their house following the Garmin's directions.

There were a ton of kids already there when we arrived. They were playing games and doing crafts. Everyone had pizza then it was time for cake. Melody's cousin always makes the cakes from scratch and this year it was a Toy Story themed cake. Not only do her cakes look good but they taste excellent. She uses the same model every time but she has perfected it. The bottom layer and the top 'ball' were made of rice crispies & marshmallow (basically a rice crispy treat), while the middle layer is made of cake. (maybe the bottom layer was the cake... it's almost been a year...LOL)

DSC02050.jpg

I don't know how long it took her but there was a ton of detail.

DSC02051.jpg

DSC02052.jpg

We sang Happy Birthday and dug in!

DSC02055.jpg

This cake was 100 times better than that $100 cake I ordered for Juliana at 1900PF (if you can even remember that!)

After cake it was pinata time! Somehow I was nominated to help hold it.

DSC02056.jpg

I lucked out because it had the pull strings and no bat was required... i made it though with no injuries.

DSC02058.jpg

After more playing, the party came to an end and all of the kids left- except for us of course. We were hanging out for a while.

'Who wants to open birthday presents?'

DSC02064.jpg

Well, that was a dumb question.

We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out and Juliana loves her cousins...

DSC02069.jpg

DSC02072.jpg

One of the gifts Juliana's cousin received was balloon shooters. You pump them up then let 'em fly. We had fun shooting them into the trees, on top of the lanai, and even over the house.

DSC02074.jpg

Melody and her cousin....

DSC02077.jpg

Baby bump picture!

DSC02078.jpg

Melody was like 4 months pregnant while her cousin was 8 months pregnant! Crazy, I know.

It was starting to get dark so we said our goodbyes... not before one last picture with Melody's godson.

DSC02082.jpg

We had a great time at the party and really enjoyed the company for the afternoon. One good thing about having family in Florida is it always gives as a reason to stop in Disney World!

On the way back to POP we stopped at DTD to get one last Disney fix since we were leaving the next day to head home.

DSC02085.jpg

Juliana just couldn't let her Mickey go!

DSC02087.jpg

See ya next time dragon!

DSC02088.jpg

Up next.... A trip to the Dark Side!

You are a roll, Mr. Tim...and I am duly impressed!

Looks like a great party.

And that cake is fabulous. I remember the last birthday cake she made...and all I can say is WOW!

Fun update! I always look at the Ohana breakfast but get hung up on the menu...scrambled eggs just seems so boring to me for the price I can never seem to get past that part. The juice though, yum! Very cute poly pictures. Amazing cake for the birthday party and wow, she does not look 8 months pg!

Looks like a very fun time was had by all.

We got ourselves ready and left POP and drove to the..... Poly? No the party wasn't there, although that would of been pretty cool, we had to eat breakfast before we could party, and what better place to have breakfast than 'Ohana!

'Ohana is sort of like a party, anyway. So you get 2 for the price of 1!

It wasn't long before we were seated and a huge platter was on our table...

Ok, this deserves a

Next Stitch stopped by. For some reason Juliana loves this furry blue alien.

Everybody loves Stitch! You'd be crazy not to love him. Right, Kathy?

Melody can't get enough of Kona coffee and she stopped here for a coffee to go.

Hard to blame her there.

That looks awesome! :thumbsup2

This cake was 100 times better than that $100 cake I ordered for Juliana at 1900PF (if you can even remember that!)

::yes::

After cake it was pinata time! Somehow I was nominated to help hold it.

Hope you had protection!

'Who wants to open birthday presents?'

:wave2:

Oh, you weren't asking me.

One of the gifts Juliana's cousin received was balloon shooters. You pump them up then let 'em fly. We had fun shooting them into the trees, on top of the lanai, and even over the house.

Nothing like giving your kids projectiles! :thumbsup2

One good thing about having family in Florida is it always gives as a reason to stop in Disney World!

This is known as the "ace in the hole".

Wow, thanks for all of the updates. The Toy Story cake was amazing.

That bright colored Mickey is a trip. Never seen one like it.

/
That dress is probably like some steal she found on ebay...never to be found again. LOL! But I love it!

I'm loving all the updates too. That cake....oh my word, so gorgeous. I forget, does she make them and sell them?
And Mels cousin...well I could call her a nasty word.... She looks better 8 months pregnant than I do every day. LOL!

They live fairly close to Disney and we had a nice drive to their house following the Garmin's directions.
I've found that Garmin can be a bit "off" at times. :headache:

This cake was 100 times better than that $100 cake I ordered for Juliana at 1900PF (if you can even remember that!)
I see an opportunity for Melody's cousin to go into business for herself...

A great party with family and an awesome cake.

Both pregnant ladies look fabulous.
A great way to spend the afternoon. So sad you are leaving the next day.

O'hana is a fun breakfast. Stitch is always one of the best interactions I find but I agree with the rushed characters. We went in 2010 and hadn't seen Mickey mouse but because we'd paid the waitress was pretty much ready to pounch on our table the minute we stood up. I waited for the mouse though :goodvibes

The cake looks amazing!

And noos you're leaving disney soon :(

Another fun update. Bkfst looked yummy, glad Mickey came over. That cake was awesome. looked like a fun party.

Your breakfast at Ohana looked yummy. I'd like to try that juice sometime. Nice job tracking down the big cheese to come to your table...the character interaction is built into the price!

As others have mentioned, that birthday cake that Melody's cousin made is awesome! Wow!

It's a shame that pinata had pull strings....you could have beefed-up your kids' college funds with the money you would have made from "America's Funniest Home Videos".

Loved the Epcot Update !!I have eaten at TE about 4 or 5 times and the food is always good !! I just wish their dessrt choices were more varied !!Love the Beret even if you diodn't get it !!

I missed the O;Hana and PARTY updates first time !!:rotfl2:Could it be I am not used to multiple updates:rotfl2: Anywho I agree O'Hanas is GREAT !! Judy has added it to her must do's for supper and I LOVED the breakfast there i October !! If nothing else the JUICE is a must have !!!!:cloud9::cloud9:

Great Updates Tim , !!!!!

Well, thanks to you, I can think of a better place (can you say, Kona?).
Our absolute favorite!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm sure Marv will love hearing that.
Marv is a Stitch fan too?

I can certainly understand that after our visit in September.
Are you planning on going back this month?

Juliana gets better each time she takes a picture.
She is pretty good. She just has to try to hold the camera still. :hyper:

Nice family photo.
Thank you Kat!

Wow, you snuck one in on us during thread closing??? :confused3 :lmao:
Well, you can post only once every 40 seconds... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

An Ohana breakfast, then a party? Sounds like a well planned day.
Yes, I am a master planner! :lmao:

But just this once... right?
Yea, that was her first one.

Well, you can't stay mad at Mickey... and at least he was remorseful about skipping you.
I will take hugs from Mickey any day....
(did I just admit that?)

Ohana tip #179: Ask for a seat near the restroom.
At breakfast & dinner!

You are a roll, Mr. Tim...and I am duly impressed!
Thanks! One more day to go then I can put this baby to bed!

And that cake is fabulous. I remember the last birthday cake she made...and all I can say is WOW!
She has a real talent.::yes::

Fun update! I always look at the Ohana breakfast but get hung up on the menu...scrambled eggs just seems so boring to me for the price I can never seem to get past that part. The juice though, yum! Very cute poly pictures.
It is pricy for eggs, but I guess you are paying for the experience. :confused3

This was the first time we tried breakfast here. It was good but it isn't a must do every trip... dinner on the other hand. ::yes:: popcorn::popcorn::

Amazing cake for the birthday party and wow, she does not look 8 months pg!
I know... she was so tiny!

'Ohana is sort of like a party, anyway. So you get 2 for the price of 1!

MMMMMMMMMMMMM... bacon!

Everybody loves Stitch! You'd be crazy not to love him. Right, Kathy?
Oh BOY, don't get her started. :rolleyes1

Hope you had protection!
I did. It was called pulling the string!

Nothing like giving your kids projectiles! :thumbsup2
Too bad they didn't explode! pixiedust:

This is known as the "ace in the hole".
Poker player are ya? popcorn::

Wow, thanks for all of the updates. The Toy Story cake was amazing.
I was on a roll. The weekend is going to put a dent in my updating. :lmao:

That bright colored Mickey is a trip. Never seen one like it.
She still loves it. He hangs out on her bed every day. ;)

That dress is probably like some steal she found on ebay...never to be found again. LOL! But I love it!
I'll find out... I'll probably talk to her over the weekend.

I'm loving all the updates too. That cake....oh my word, so gorgeous. I forget, does she make them and sell them?
She should sell them, but she doesn't have time to make them for clients. I wish she would supply 1900PF. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

And Mels cousin...well I could call her a nasty word.... She looks better 8 months pregnant than I do every day. LOL!
HAHA.... don't do that. You don't want to get a DIS ban! :lmao::lmao:

I've found that Garmin can be a bit "off" at times. :headache:
I've always had good luck with mine. You might not always get the shortest, easiest route, but you get there.

I see an opportunity for Melody's cousin to go into business for herself...
I keep telling her that... but she has been a little busy with work and now 3 kids!

A great party with family and an awesome cake.
Thanks!

Both pregnant ladies look fabulous.
A great way to spend the afternoon. So sad you are leaving the next day.
It was a nice relaxing change after the hustle and bustle of the parks from the previous 3 days.

O'hana is a fun breakfast. Stitch is always one of the best interactions I find but I agree with the rushed characters. We went in 2010 and hadn't seen Mickey mouse but because we'd paid the waitress was pretty much ready to pounch on our table the minute we stood up. I waited for the mouse though
Sounds like the same experience we had. There has to be a better way. :confused3

The cake looks amazing!
Thanks! It was!!!

And noos you're leaving disney soon :(
I know... it is sad. :sad2: :sad1:

Another fun update. Bkfst looked yummy, glad Mickey came over. That cake was awesome. looked like a fun party.
Thanks for sticking with me here Mary! We had a great day! :goodvibes

Your breakfast at Ohana looked yummy. I'd like to try that juice sometime. Nice job tracking down the big cheese to come to your table...the character interaction is built into the price!
Ever been to Kona for breakfast? You can buy a glass there for like $5. Believe me, it is worth it. ::yes::

As others have mentioned, that birthday cake that Melody's cousin made is awesome! Wow!
Thanks!

It's a shame that pinata had pull strings....you could have beefed-up your kids' college funds with the money you would have made from "America's Funniest Home Videos".
Good idea, but those videos never win the money. It is always some cute pet or a baby. :confused3

Loved the Epcot Update !!I have eaten at TE about 4 or 5 times and the food is always good !! I just wish their dessrt choices were more varied !!Love the Beret even if you diodn't get it !!
I hear ya about dessert. Maybe that is why we got dessert in norway. :confused3 :rotfl::rotfl:

I missed the O;Hana and PARTY updates first time !!:rotfl2:Could it be I am not used to multiple updates:rotfl2: Anywho I agree O'Hanas is GREAT !! Judy has added it to her must do's for supper and I LOVED the breakfast there i October !! If nothing else the JUICE is a must have !!!!
Judy is a smart woman! I think I'd give dinner the edge over breakfast though. I think I could eat there every night!! popcorn::popcorn::
