This is what I made for my mum's 70th birthday later this month
When I asked her what she wanted she replied a "photo of all the family" - i.e. me, DSis, our DHs and kids (my 2 and her 4). Fly in that ointment - Dsis and at least one of her kids won't co-operate with photos, not even informal vacation shots.
So between a couple of scrapbook articles I'd seen and DH talking about the pics he's liked on customer's houses, this is the result. One photo session in the conservatory (nice sunny day so i could just about take pics without flash), one 12" square Bazzil grey cardstock, two 12" square CM cranberry cardstock, a load of photos and a frame. (2 6x4 centre, 4 3x3 top and bottom, 3 2x2 on the sides, all cropped a bit to give some space). DH is so excited about it - I've never seen him so enthused by any other scrap project. I plan to do one for us next (but without the 70th and the message)
