We got back on Monday night from our California trip. Spent four days at DL and had a good time. Very different experience from WDW and we are all glad we went.
A huge thanks to any and all who said to make signs for the Jedi Training show. My boys had their Star Wars tshirts on and were the only two with signs that morning. They were the first two picked and got to go up on the stage. It was the high point of the whole trip for them.
Bumbershoot, I think you posted the little cutoff from HoJo to DL and we used it all the time. It was amazing how almost no one else used that path while everyone was on the other side of Harbor. Nice to get away from the crowd even if it was just walking to/from DL.
Did anyone else have the "pleasure" of Big Bob (he called himself that) on Wednesday's Magic Morning? My boys wanted to know why he was so mean!
He was sure not a favorite of the two lines he shut down after they had been standing there for 10-15 minutes under the Magic Morning signs. We were in the line over from them thankfully. The lady the day before did a great job of organizing the Magic Morning entry putting everyone in the center of the gates and then splitting them when she was ready.
We decided that it would be nice to take pieces of each park and create our own perfect version. One thing we would love to take is the weather! So nice not to have high humidity and heat. Space Mountain is just in a whole different class than WDW's version. We loved Matterhorn Bobsleds and Mulholand Madness was fun. I like that Splash Mountain doesn't soak you when another boat is going under the briar patch. Got stuck there last year at WDW through three boats and we weren't wet, we were drenched. Each park has it's own character both good and bad, so it was fun seeing this one.
