Since we are in the planning mode for our upcoming WDW trip, DD was looking at her ABC album I made for our 2005 WDW trip.

So she decided she wanted to make her own book, she wants to take all the photos herself, and wanted it to be different from the first book (mostly characters), so here's what she came up with..........

a - airport
b - big thunder mt rr
c - castle
d - dino-rama!
e - epcot sign
f - finding nemo - the musical
g - gates (ticket)
h - hollywood blvd
i - its a small world
j - jungle cruise
k - kali river rapids
l - luau (poly)
m - monorail
n - 1900 park fare
o - oasis
p - pirates of the caribbean
q - queens table
r - rafikis planet watch
s - splash mt
t - tonys town square
u - universe of energy
v - voyage of the little mermaid
w - walt disney (statue)
x - eXpedition everest
y - ye old x-mas shoppe
z - zanzibar trading co

She found all the places herself, but I had to help her out with X,( was the only one she couldn't find anything for). when I asked her why all of these places, rides etc. she stated "I know I will be able to find them, take my own photos and that way we can make my album before we go"

 my little planner  I wonder where she gets it from :rolleyes1 . so just had to share. told her we would go an pick out whatever paper, embellishments etc this weekend, she is SOOOO excited. since she helped me Sunday with my swap stuff, she now wants to do more.

Have I created a little scrap monster:scared1: ?, I guess I will be getting her some of her own supplies for x-mas because I don't share so good :lmao: do those of you with kids let them scrap your pages? or give them there own stuff?

My DS did this for our last trip! He made a journal to take to school. He used some of my swap stuff that I didn't think I'd use and decided what pictures to take (we actually gave him a disposal camera - he loved having his own...). I printed off the questions he wanted to keep track of (how much money he spent, favorite rides, least favorite, characters) ahead of time so he was able to journal while we were there and we just had to drop the pictures in. It was wonderful. He took it to school the next day! Good luck!

He has his own stash of paper and stickers, but uses my tools. (Just what I want - a 7 year old with sharp scissors...). We work pretty well together...

For our ABC album (which consists of WDW August 2005 photos) which we are still working on everyone, DH, DsD12, and I (okay not DD that is only 3 now) have worked on pages. It is clear who has done what but it is a bonding experience. DsD scraps her our stuff with my stuff. I am becoming a little upset she scrap so much as uses soooo much of my stuff without any of her own, so recently I made her buy her our tape runner. I think I will need to break it in to her father that she really needs to buy some basics too, not that I mind sharing, but footing the whole bill just doesn't seem like it is teaching her anything or teaching her to plan before she does a page. I am mostly concerned with cardstock as I am fearful I won't have what I need when the time comes, patterned paper unless I have bought it for somethign specific I am not that concerned. She did use one special piece of paper once and I admit I handled it better than I thought I would.

I'd like to do this too, but i'm not familiar with Q - queen's table. Where is that found?

Queens Table is a store in Epcot UK. Some of the things that she chose I had to make a note of where they are so we don't forget them.

How fun for your DD! I might get my son a disposable to take some himself.. then again maybe not, he's still 4. :)

That is a great ABC list!! I might need to "borrow" it for our trip in December. My DD (12) has been scrapping with me since she was 7. I started her with her own supplies (trimmer, scissors, tape runner, etc.) that way if she ruined them it wasn't my "good" stuff :) She was given her own paper (my cast-offs) and if she needed something special we looked through my stash together. She is now an awesome scrapper and photographer. Isn't it interesting how your photos improve the longer you scrap. Anyway we love looking at her old albums and she is so proud of her work! Have fun on your trip!

Your welcome to use any of them......my DD was so proud and happy to hear that my computer friends liked her ideas......so we went on another ABC adventure for our AK cruise coming up in June......I had to help out a bit more on this one, but here they are:

a- alaska (general photo of scenery)
b - bear or bridge (we will be sailing right under a huge bridge just out of the Vancouver port
c - cabin
d - dining room
e - eagle
f - family
g - grandma (she earns a special page since she is taking myself, DH, DD, DB, DSIL and DN on this trip)
h - hubbard glaicer
i - icy strait point
j - juneau
k - kids club
l - library
m - me (megan)
n - natives
o - otters or ocean
p - port
q - quiet time
r - rainforest
s - skagway
t - tram
u - uncle doe doe (my DB Joe, DD has called him that since she started talking)
v - vancouver
w - whales
x - eXplorigng (this letter is sooo hard to find something that works)
y - yukon railroad
z - zachary (my DN)

so we are now making 2 abc books and I am surprising DD with a journal album for wdw and also one each for DD and DN for AK. I am so glad I got my cricut, its going to be working overtime.
