We just got back from 5 days in sunny FL. Used Independance Air from Boston and had a GREAT fare ($99.00 RT)
They fly 50 seat regional jets into Dulles and as of this Sunday will have the A319's on line. (unfortunately we had the CRJ's into Orlando also)
The only problem we had was a longer than expected layover in Dulles as they needed to wait for the plane to arrive. I suspect that the new A319's won't have this problem as they are only being used on a few routes.
The return trip went well with almost no delay in Dulles, we landed there and connected to Boston within 20 minutes.
Hopefully they are getting a larger ridership now to help them stay flying. The from Bos to IAD and IDA to MCO were full and the flight back to IAD was full (Tuesday night) IAD to BOS only had about 15 people on it (9:40pm flight)
I would use them again, but for next year, I would keep checking Flyer Talk to see how they are doing.
Service was very good, even with a full plane and only 1 flight attendant. Gotta luv the hot towels.
