He had cheat grass/a fox tail in his ear. The vet couldnt get it out, so we had to leave him to be sedated. He's old so I ask the vet about safety... he gave him a shot in front of me and said that the tranq would be ready in 30 minutes, and hopefully thats all he'll need. If not, he'll have to totally sedate him. That was three hours ago... so I just called to see how it went, and they havent even done it yet! I understand that things come up and whatnot, but why is it that story always changes when you're not standing there? It was explained that the tranq shot is safest etc. Now, they close in an hour and havent even attended to him. I am trying to be understanding, but I guess I'm PO'd. Also our appointment was at 11:40 and we were there 5 minutes early, but they still took a walk-in before us to remove some stitches. We got in 35 minutes later. Maybe I'm just worried about my dog and its making me grumpy.

I sympathize and would be po'd too. I hope its done and he can come home soon.
too much.

He's been following us around. I know what he's saying "Please, someone, get this thing fixed!" Poor old guy. He's getting lots of extra attention. The kids have both brought out a blanket and pillow and have made themselves beds on each side of his dog bed! He ate a good breakfast so that's a good sign. I almost think the drugs that guy gave him made him hungry. He's not a big eater, but since we brought him home he's acted half starved. I gave him a slice of roast beef last night
and thought he was going to take my hand with it! He never does that. He was so sorry afterwards, too LOL! He gave me those big ol' puppy dog near-tear eyes when he realized i jerked my hand away.
