This is a basic question that has been covered a million times, I'm sure. We are going on a family vacation 1/3-1/10. My sister and her family are AP holders - and have Magic Bands. My family will be staying on property and we have a package and our Magic Bands. My folks are buying their tickets from AAA. If we buy Magic Bands from the Disney website, could their tickets be linked to the band so they can book FastPass+? If so, do we have to wait until the bands arrive? Or could the tickets be purchased and then we can book FP+ through MDE and link to the Magic Bands when they arrive to use in the parks? Thank you!

Magic Bands are not required to either schedule or use FP+. Your parents can purchase tickets from AAA and link them to MDE in order to schedule FP+. If they are staying onsite, they can schedule FP+ 60 days out (and if they are friends with your account, you can schedule together for them and your family); otherwise they need to wait until 30 days out and try to get times similar to your family's schedule. If they are not staying onsite and choose to purchase Magic Bands, the bands may be linked to their MDE account at any time.

Enjoy your vacation!
