I am also on the market for a new digital camera for the trip and just for in general. I have a Kodak whatever it is 8.0 MP...but I HATE it. I usually have it set on 7.1 MP for the smaller picture size and that pictures always look so grainy. I used to have an HP Photosmart and it was my favorite camera...but unfortunately last year it had a drowning incident in a Sex on the BeachAs far as I know, they don't sell those anymore. Anyone have any good recommendations on a good point and shoot that isn't ridiculously expensive? Like under $200-250.
Hm. Maybe the settings are just funky on your camera. Try keeping it at the max settings and just resize them by hand and don't let the camera do the work. I bet it's compressing it in size and quality. Also just transfer the photos via copy/paste, don't use a software to copy them, they might be doing the same thing
