Just the Three of us - a tale of our first solo vacation

Friday Jan 20, We started our journey with a long drive. We always drive to Disney because I am not a good flyer lol. We were originally planning on arriving on sunday and checking in to Old key West but we decided to leave friday morning and get there on Saturday afternoon. We stopped for the night in Florence, SC. We have stayed here numerous times. We always stay at the Country Inn and Suites. Saturday morning we got up early and drove the rest of the way

Saturday Jan, 21st we checked in to Legacy Vacatoin Resorts for the night. the room was nice enough but there is no WAY I could stay there for the whole trip lol. We are spoiled by Old Key West lol. The room was such a weird layout. Sort of L shaped and when you opened the door to go out it blocked off the whole hallway. It was just a strange layout that had us always getting in each others way. We also did a little furniture rearranging in the "living room" area since you couldn't watch the TV from where the couch was lol why they planned it that way I have no idea. however, it was perfect for the night and we weren't far away from Downtown Disney. so that's where we headed next. I always look forward to passing through the "gate" to the property.

We ate at Earl of Sandwich for dinner. there was no one in line when we got there and hubby walked right up to the counter and ordered. Was pretty awesome lol. I got the Cannonballs sandwich (meatball) and I think hubby got the roast beef. They were good but I like the sandwich I had the first time better. I think it was a turkey club. But still... very good meal and I love how affordable it is. We got three sandwiches (PB for DD), 2 fruit cups and 2 sodas for $22. That's not bad. During our travels that night we happened upon a fairy godmother in training and DD got some pixie dust.

DSC_0568.jpg

Thanks to the Dis I found out that we could get our AP's done here at DTD. that was so convenient and I had no idea that they would do that at the guest services there so... Thanks Dis'ers lol. This was a great experience. They were so quick and efficient with it and DD had great interaction with a cast member named Celia. She was wonderful. she chatted DD up the whole time and gave her stickers and basically kept her totally entertained the whole time we were getting the AP's printed. It was awesome and so appreciated. She will get a special mention in the letter to Disney

DSC_0572.jpg

After that we headed back to the room so we could get some good rest for the next day at Magic Kingdom

Sunday Jan 22nd

We got up early. We were all awake by 6:45 am without the aid of an alarm lol. We packed up what we had in the room and headed over to OKW to check in. Of course our room wasn't ready yet but we expected that. So we told them to just text us when the room was ready and we were off to MK. We got there about 9:30 that morning and the crowds were very manageable. First thing DD wanted to do was Meet Characters. That was what we did for the majority of this trip lol which is A-OK with us.

We met Daisy
DSC_0604.jpg

Then we met snow white. This was the BEST snow white interaction ever. The best snow white I've seen to date. If they make a live action movie, this girl should be snow white lol. We were told where she was meeting and so we were waiting there before she came out. there was another family with us with a little girl that was also wearing a snow white dress like DD. Our photopass Photographer was Alex. I remember him from our last trip, he's a very memorable guy lol. He was our photopass guy for snow white when we were there in September. While we waited for Snow White he played a little snow white trivia game with the kids and really helped the time pass quickly until Snow White came running over. Our DD and the other couples DD were so excited they both just ran to her before any of us could stop them LOL
DSC_0607.jpg

it made for a very cute moment and I can't say enough about this Snow White. She looked as excited to meet those two little girls as they were to meet her lol.

A couple photos from this meet and greet because it was one of our most memorable and CUTE

Curtsey's
DSC_0625.jpg

DD got a big red lipstick kiss lol this turned into a theme on this trip. she always had someone's lipstick on her cheek lol
DSC_0626.jpg

We also met Pluto
DSC_0636.jpg

More in the next post

Next we were off to the princesses. We used a fast pass for this M&G. I really hope the fast pass for character meetings catches on. Tinkerbells M&G could definitely use one.

First was Aurora. the curtsey was another theme of this trip lol

and Cinderella

We were determined to make it off of mainstreet this trip lol. it seems we end up spending the majority of our time on main street and barely make it anywhere else, not that that's a bad thing. We did watch the first part of Move It, Shake It, Celebrate it but I didn't realize it stopped in the hub and they had dancing and such for the kids or we would have hung around. Oh well, now we know for next trip lol Instead we were off to meet rapunzel. We missed the rapunzel M&G during our previous trips but we made sure to do it this time since DD was all about the characters this trip. I'm glad we met rapunzel but I don't really get the logic with the way it's set up. it's basically just a regular meet and greet but with more waiting around.

DSC_0685.jpg

We went and had lunch at Cosmic Rays. We love this place. the burgers and sandwiches are good, the toppings bar is awesome and it's affordable. Good food at a good price, especially at Disney. If I recall correctly, hubby and I both got turkey sandwiches. yummy, topped with lots of veggies and it was a huge sandwich. delicious.

We even managed to squeeze in a few rides and another character before we went back to the resort to get our room (we received the text early... by 11:30 am the room was ready but we weren't ready to leave yet lol)

The Teacups. DD loves to ride these but hubby can't ride spinny rides so he's always left out on this one haha.
DSC_0698.jpg

on the way out we met Tiana. She is one of DD's favorites. We love The princess and the Frog. DD was bummed that Naveen wasn't there this time but she got over it quickly LOL. She loves her princes

More lipstick.
DSC_0715.jpg

At this point it was about 2 or 3 pm so we headed back to the resort to get our room. We couldn't have gotten a better location. We were right beside the hospitality house. building 62. We had a studio room and we weren't sure how it was going to work out with just one big room with DD but it worked out just fine. the rooms at OKW are nice and spacious, even the studios so it wasn't an issue at all. We were a 2 minute walk from the main pool, the general store and Olivia's cafe. Very convenient. We unapcked as quickly as we could and then we went straight to the pool for a swim. the weather was GORGEOUS while we were there. 80's and sunny every single day and the evenings got cooler but we never needed sweaters or anything. The pool area at OKW is lovely. A nice big pool with a range of depths and a waterslide, lots of beach chairs, a kiddie pool area and a nice big hot tub.

After grabbing a bite to eat in the room we were heading back to MK for Wishes and some unexpected magical moments

Continued in the next post

We got back to MK about 5:30 or 6. Chip and Dale were out front doing a M&G and Dd said she wanted to meet them. That was a pretty big deal because on our last trip (september 2011, only a few months ago lol) she was very selective about who she wanted to meet. She didnt' want to meet mickey or goofy or donald or really anyone that wasn't a female character lol or a prince. She really branched out on this trip and it was really nice to see. She wanted to meet just about everyone lol.

DSC_0727.jpg

We walked around for a little bit and got some popcorn and then scouted out a spot for Wishes. in retrospect, it wasn't a very good choice. it was wide open when we got there but by the time the shows started it was so packed and we were jammed up against the fence and people were constantly moving around in the dark despite that they make an announcement NOT to lol. BUT we could see everything at least and DD just sat up on hubby's shoulders so she had a great view and there wasn't anyone behind us. we got to our spot around 7 because Wishes started at 8 that night. We were off to the left of the castle in a walkway. We ended up being next to an older Gentleman named Jack. he was there by himself. Said he likes to come every year and camp by himself at Fort Wilderness. We chatted with him the whole time. He was so nice. I love the people you meet at Disney World. Shortly after 7 the castle stage show started (can't remember the name) and then "The Magic The Memories and You" and then Wishes. DD was really into it. She sat up on her Daddy's shoulders and conducted the show lol with a huge smile on her face. I wish I had taken a photo of that. Even Jack commented after the Show. As we were parting ways we shook hands and he told my hubby "I wish you could have seen her face during that show" LOL.

Since Wishes was at 8 and there were extra magic hours until midnight we decided to do a couple last things and then head back to the room. We went to the Tomorrowland Speedway. As we were about to enter the cue DD almost bumped into the cast member there. WOOPS. he just looked down and said "Hi princess, are you going on Tomorrowland speedway?" I said Yes but I was wondering where he was going with this... was she not tall enough or something? he then asked if it was just her and I and I added hubby and he said "well then I have a surprise for you. I'm going to take you right up to the head of the line and you can get right on the speedway" WOW AWESOME!!!!! THANK YOU was pretty close to my response lol. Hubby was parking the stroller at this point and when we went through to a different area than the line hubby asked what we were doing. I told him we were getting bumped up to the head of the line. he asked why and I shurgged and said "i dont' know... they just like us?" LOL. That was very cool. we also did Peter Pan's flight. We had grabbed fast passes for it before leaving the park earlier that day and we also had fast passes for Buzz lightyear space ranger spin. So we got a lot of stuff done that first day. DD was such a trooper. I know she must have been so tired. Up at 6:45 and then we went back to the room but she didn't nap, instead we went for a swim and then we didn't get to bed until probably 10:30 and she was chipper the whole time. She did not have ONE meltdown. I couldn't believe it. That night as we got on the bus back to the resort the driver told me to listen carefully to the announcement. Again I wondered what does he mean? I've heard the announcement a thousand times lol but when it came on instead of the regular schpeel it said "Good evening and thank you for riding disney transporation. Please be on your best royal behaviour. We have a Disney princess riding with us tonight" and then the driver got up and gave a bow lol (obviously we hadn't left the bus stop yet lol). it was very cute.

here are a couple videos from the day.

Meeting snow white... this video is adorable.

Tiana

Monday Jan 23rd Hollywood Studios

We had originally planned on doing epcot this day but DHS had EMH that night until 10 pm. There were also going to be some Dis'ers at the Disney Junior Dance party that night. I ran into fellow Dis'er Marshay that evening. it was such a pleasure to meet her and her family. But I'm getting ahead of myself here

We got to DHS right at 9 am but it wasn't really busy. First thing we did was find out where Minnie Mouse would be meeting and what time. This is DD's favorite character M&G because this minnie has a pink dress and so does DD. After getting that info we came across piglet and DD wanted to meet him so we did.

DSC_0735.jpg

DSC_0734.jpg

we made our way back to Toy Story Mania. We didn't get to do this one the last trip. The wait was huge and even the line for the fast passes was longer than we were willing to wait. As luck would have it we got to experience it this time. When we got back there the line for the ride was already at an hour but there was no one in line for fast passes. So we snagged some and our return time was 12:30. Minnie wasn't coming out until 10 so we had time to wander around. It was so dead. At the park of the park there was no one in sight. Hubby commented that this must be what it will look like after the Zombie Apocolypse lol I said it felt like we were "LEFT BEHIND" LOL.

check it out...
DSC_0739.jpg

"Whats up" from Phineas and Ferb. I went back later to meet them. DD didn't want to meet them so DH took her to the arcade while i waited in line LOL I regretted not meeting them first thing in the morning because there was NO ONE in line. But the photos of me with P&F are on the photopass and I obviously don't have the CD yet lol
DSC_0743.jpg

To be Continued

Finally it was time to meet Minnie. We were the first in line. DD had been waiting a long time for this moment lol

Minnie was great. She kept pointing out each minnie mouse thing DD had. That would be shoes, dress, ears, and princess minnie lol

and of course... the curtsey
DSC_0770.jpg

Then we met Donald. This was another first.

Chip and Dale again
DSC_0791.jpg

After all the characters we headed over to the Disney Junior show. She really liked that the last time and was asking about it before the trip. This is one of those shows though where if you are right up front, you can't see anything. The stage is too high for people that close to see over. First time we watched it (in September) we were right up front. This time we got lucky and we were about halfway back on the right hand side. We had a much better view this time.

For lunch we went to 50's Prime Time Diner. I got the meatloaf and DH got the fried chicken and then we shared lol. We really like this place. The themeing and atmosphere is fun and the food was delicious. it was nice to get a meal that really was like home made.

We wanted to get back to the room so DD could have a nap and then head back to DHS in the evening so after lunch we headed over to Toy story mania and used our fast passes. We couldn't understand before what the hype was all about for this ride but after finally experiencing it... it's awesome. I can see why it's so popular lol. I still wouldn't wait over an hour for it but a very cool ride.

by now we were ready to head back to the room and rest a bit. We were headed back to DHS for the dance party.

more to come

While we were at the room DD had an hour and a half long nap lol and we did some laundry. That was a good decision on our part I think. We had some downtime, the laundry room was a 2 minute walk away and doing it this way we didn't come home with mounds of dirty laundry. So I like that system lol.

We were back at DHS around 6 after grabbing a bite to eat in the room. DD wanted to meet characters as usual lol so we headed back to the animation studio.

We got to meet Mary Poppins, which was great since we missed her the previous morning.

DSC_0804.jpg

We were the second last family in line for Mary Poppins before they closed the line. After she finished with the last family she came over to us and asked DD if she wanted to meet Belle. Here is mary arranging the visit. just another little touch of pixie dust that really made the trip extra special
DSC_0805.jpg

DSC_0807.jpg

Belle was wonderful and we were absolutely not expecting to have a special meeting with her. She was coming out for a meet and greet and there was a line there for her (I noticed that after she took us over to her meeting place). the photopass photographer commented to the handler "I thought those people over there were first. how did this happen" That kind of rubbed me the wrong way and I just said "mary Poppins arranged this". That's all I said and he ignored me but he did take lots of good photos so I'm over it lol.

More lipstick on her face lol
DSC_0815.jpg

We got to meet sorcerer Mickey ... that's hubby's favorite character and then we teased him about it because he made fun of me for meeting Phineas and Ferb lol.
DSC_0827.jpg

AFter we met everyone we wanted to meet we took a stroll over to Star Tours. We haven't been on it since it was redone. Hubby really wanted to try it but we weren't sure how DD (4 years old if I didn't mention before) was going to like it but I was confident that if she was scared ... I could distract her. All that planning for nothing LOL ... after the ride ended she said "That was AWESOME" haha so we were worried for nothing.

By this time it was time to head over to the dance party. This was particularly awesome because there were other Dis'ers there and the kids got to dance with the characters.

DD wore her "Ear muscles". That's waht she calls them lol and it's kind of accurate. they are just regular ear protectors and my Mother in law did them up like minnie mouse ears. These things are the greatest idea we've ever had as parents LOL. DD can be a little sensitive to sound (I think it's more anxiety than discomfort) but when she has these on she is willing to try just about everything. They are like her invincibility cloak lol. The nice thing is the muffle the loud sounds but she can still hear me talking to her even in a room with booming music. We got lots of compliments on them during our trip and people who had children with the same issue as DD... they dont' like the loud noise but love the experiences.

Now DD is normally not the type to ever wander away. she is always aware of where I am in a room. She is normally an observer when in a new situation. She likes to sit back and watch for a bit before deciding if she wants to join in or not. yet another thing this trip seems to have cured her of lol.

We walked into the dance party and Dd saw Minnie there and for the rest of the night she could not have cared less about where I was. lol
DSC_0834.jpg

it was a bit chaotic in there at first. lots of people and at one point Minnie was being totally mobbed by a group of kids grabbing all over her and stuff and she just took a step back and motioned a big "WHOA" with her hands lol and the kids parted like the red seas. After that it calmed down a bit and after the first hour it really started to clear out.

By 9 there were probably only a dozen kids left and at one point Goofy was wandering around looking for someone to dance with lol. So at that point DD got a ton of amazing character interaction. Highlight of the trip for her, and for us too. it was very very cool.

Your trip brings back memories of our first trip with DD, now 20. Love the "ear muscles". I can think of several times when we could have used something like that. We are DVC members and love OKW! Now I really want to get down there. Can't wait to hear more...:thumbsup2

DSC_0889.jpg

Pluto gets a shout out for this one lol. This was about 2 minutes before we were leaving. the dance party didn't end until 10 but that was later than we wanted to stay. we wanted to be back at the resort by then or shortly after. Breaking the news that you have to leave to a 4 year old having the time of her life can be a heartbreaking affair lol.

I gave her a few minute warning that we would have to leave soon. Pluto danced with her for a couple of minutes and then I told her we had to go and her little eyes watered up and a lip quiver started to show and a "Why?" that could break a heart of stone LOL. Pluto watched the whole thing and then he tapped her on the shoulder and opened his arms for a big hug. gave her a big squeeze and a big kiss and then walked us over to the door and a high five and a wave later and we were out the door with not a tear shed lol. THANKS PLUTO!!!

DSC_0891.jpg

Needless to say it didn't take long for her to zonk out when we got back to the room
DSC_0897.jpg

The next morning we were off to Epcot.

Tuesday Jan 24th

We did have the alarm set but we were all tired when it went off so we decided to rest a little longer and just get to the park a little later. well we were still there by 10 am lol. Tuesday was Epcot day.

We wasted a bit of time at the beginning of the day. we wandered over to test track for a fast pass and then we went into innoventions and played some games in there. By that time our fast passes were good so we went for a spin on Test Track. again not sure how DD was going to react to it but we gave it a shot anyway. of course... she loved it lol So on the way out we grabbed another fast pass and it was time to start heading back to World showcase for our lunch reservation.

We were having lunch at The Rose and Crown Pub. Since the red phone booths are there and they work we told DD to expect a special phone call (I have the number in my phone contacts LOL). I stepped away and dialed the number. I was minnie Mouse lol. It was very cute. DD was telling Minnie all about her adventures on test track LOL.

Hubby had to use the restroom before we checked in for lunch so DD and I were just milling around when these big wooden gates opened and a bunch of characters came running down.

Chip and Dale spotted DD and took her hand and started leading us up the hill. I had to call DH real quick to tell him where we went so he didnt' come out and us be nowhere in sight lol

IMG_2615.jpg

We met goofy, mr penguin, donald and pluto too... again lol

DSC_0940.jpg

Pluto was very cute. His handler told hannah to scratch him behind the ear and he started shaking his leg LOL

DSC_0958.jpg

DSC_0964.jpg

We also got to meet Alice which was another first

Alice taught hannah how to curtsey in Wonderland. "heels together, toes out, always stand up straight and say YES YOUR MAJESTY"

DSC_0973.jpg

I love all the minnies on the bed and the decor by Alice looks so realistic!

It sounds like you guys had a WONDERFUL and magical trip!!! I love the lipstick kisses!!!! :lovestrucprincess:

yikes... I've been slacking off on this trip report. Last week was a pretty busy week lol. I can't believe we've only been home for a little over a week. It feels like it's been FOREVER!!!!

so I think I left off halfway through Tuesday at Epcot.

We were just making our way around world showcase, meeting characters along the way

Mary Poppins again lol

We found Marie

DSC_1000.jpg

And then we made our way over to my favorite new tradition... PICK A PEARL. I had never done this before or really even knew about it until last year. during our last trip in September DD and I went in and I bought two pearls. so when we went this time I knew I wanted to do it again. Eventually I hope to have enough to drill them and make a keepsake bracelet out of them :) If you haven't done this before I recommend doing it at least once. it's a very neat experience

At this point we started slowly making our way back up to the front. We hit up test track again with our fast passes. DD really enjoyed that one. then we headed over to Nemo. The oddest of all odd things lol... DD is terrified of those seagulls . Once we are inside though things are fine lol. The little oyster shell ride through the seas is very neat and we always HAVE to do Turtle Talk with Crush. Again this is another thing that if you haven't done it... you have to go see it at least once. It is HILARIOUS!!!! One of our favorite attractions.

Then one of the last things we did was the thing DD was waiting for ALL day. We headed over to the character spot where Minnie meets with mickey and everyone. All day she asked when we could go see Minnie with the matching dress lol.

Mickey first

then Pluto

A few more characters in the character spot and then we hit spaceship earth and then we were headed back to the resort. DD liked spaceship earth. she thought it was so neat that the ride was in the "big ball".

We were back at the resort early so we went for a quick dip in the pool and then DH grabbed us some grub at the quick serve place at OKW and chilled out in the room for the rest of the evening. DD needed an earlier night lol

The next day was to be Animal Kingdom and it was a fiasco of a day....

To be continued

Love your report! Taking 4 year old granddaughter for the first time in 25 days!! Going to be spending LOTS of time with characters and she'll be in a princess dress every day, since she has them all lol.

Thank you everyone :)

On with Day 4. This day was a fiasco.

We headed to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning and the first half an hour we spent trying to get out of a huge crowd of people.

This is the one park I don't really know my way around and the way it's set up is just so odd to me. So we ended up over at Camp Minnie Mickey which was A OK with DD lol we were satisfied because it was basically empty back there.

We met Pocahontas for the first time ever

DSC_1139.jpg

and even Rafiki... this one really surprised me because I really thought she would be scared of him lol I mean come on... LOOK at him.
DSC_1173.jpg

We met Rafiki over at Rafiki's planet watch. We had walked over there after Camp Minnie Mickey. it was so crowded getting over there but we made it, got fast passes for the safari and then got on the train. There was not much going on over there so we met rafiki and then got out of there. We were getting hungry at this point so we were going to grab lunch and then go back to the safari. This is when things went downhill fast lol.

I was starving and so were DD and DH so we were all in a testy mood because of it. We wandered all over the place looking for a place to eat that wasn't african or asian food. I appreciate the authenticity but I really wasn't in the mood for that. Plus getting anywhere was a NIGHTMARE because the crowds were horrendous. it felt like shoulder to shoulder. We made it all the way over to dinoland or whatever it's called and that's when I couldn't take anymore lol.

No matter where we turned it was wall to wall people. it was maddening. I pulled hubby aside at that point and said "Ok I have an idea. why don't we get the heck out of here, go back to the resort, grab lunch at Olivias Cafe, go for a swim and then go to magic Kingdom. so that's what we did. We didnt' even bother with the safari. we were in no mood to fight the crowds all the way back there and then back up to the front.

We got on the bus and we were the only ones on there and our bus driver was very friendly and chatty so that put us in a better mood. Plus we were just glad to have some breathing room and be out of that crowd. I don't understand it. We had minimal crowds all the rest of the week but Animal Kingdom was a Zoo... pardon the expression lol.

We had a delicious lunch at Olivias Cafe. Hubby had the Salmon Salad and I had Olivias Pasta Creation with Shrimp. I decided to order the lemonade that comes in a tinkerbell cup with a light up tinkerbell clip lol. I needed a little fun after that crazy morning.

DH had to run to a store for some more water bottles and a few other things so I put DD down to see if she would have a nap. turns out we both fell asleep and next thing I know it's almost 4:30 :O DD still wanted to go swimming and we promised we would but I was seriously bummed that we slept that long. that didnt' leave much time if any to get over to Magic Kingdom since it closed at 8 that night. I felt like we had completely wasted the day lol although it was nowhere near that dramatic of course. I was just in a foul mood and I hated that.

so we went for a swim and then we decided that we would head over to epcot and just do some stuff around there since it was open until 9.

And that's exactly what we did. We went back to the room, got ready in a hurry and headed out the door and hopped on the bus and next thing you know we are at Epcot and all is right with the world again lol. I profusely apologized to hubby for being a moody old cow lol

first thing we did was spaceship earth. DD loves it and we like it too... especially the funny picture part. Since it's only a two seater ride one of us had to ride alone. I rode alone the first time so this time DH rode alone and I rode with DD. BUT as we were getting into the ride... DD decided to touch the screen and NOW we were going to listen to the whole schpeel in Japanese LOL. I kid you not. We went through the whole ride in Japanese. Entertaining to say the least lol.

After that we went back to world showcase and went to the little taco place in the mexico pavillion. it's right across from Gran Fiesta. BLECH. it filled the stomach but that was about the only redeeming quality lol. oh well, it did the trick and then we went on Gran Fiesta Tour

Crazy faces for crazy hats
DSC_1208.jpg

and then over to the Maelstrom. DD wanted to ride this one twice. By that time it was almost 9 so we hit the character spot before closing time so she could see the characters AGAIN lol.

DSC_1224.jpg

DSC_1227.jpg

By that time it was 9 o clock and the park was closing. We considered staying for Illuminations but we figured we better get DD home as early as possible and into bed for her big day at Bippity Boppity Boutique and Magic Kingdom....

to be continued

OH I just realized I didn't post about our lunch at Rose and Crown Pub at Epcot on Tuesday.

This was our FAVORITE meal of the whole trip. I got the shepherds Pie with lamb and DH got the brisket. WOW were both meals delicious. I wish the shepherds pie was bigger lol it was so yummy

This is the shepherds pie

and then I got the cheesecake for dessert and DH got the Bread Pudding

Both were fantastic

My only complaint is the meal took a really long time. We were there for an hour and a half or more. But the food was so delicious that I don't really care too much about the time lol.

highly recommend it... we will definitely be eating there again

Thursday Jan 27th

Bippity Boppity Boutique and Magic Kingdom

Also our last day. BOOOOOO

The day started off with breakfast in the room and Phineas and Ferb on TV lol. Then we were off to Downtown Disney (or towndown disney as my DD calls it lol) to go to the Bippity Boppity Boutique. I REALLY wanted to get a morning appt at the one at MK. alas it was not to be but it turned out for the best and I'll tell you why a little later in this post.

So we had a 9 am appt at DTD. We got there and the doors were still locked of course and DD was very concerned about this lol. So she kept a close eye on the inside of the store to see if anyone was coming to let us in. She was sure this meant she couldn't go to bippity boppity boutique lol. A few other families gathered waiting for their appts and then the Fairy Godmothers all came walking to the doors. DD was ELATED. "The fairy godmothers are coming. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY" lol

We got the crown package (I believe that's what it was called.) It included hair, nails, makeup and a goodie bag with all the makeup and nailpolish and other goodies. we already had an outfit for DD to wear.

First the child gets to pick the hairstyle they want

DD went classic with the cinderella look lol

then they pick out nailpolish

and makeup

then they start on the hair. I don't know exactly what they use to do this but that hair does NOT move lol BUT it washes out really easily and DD's hair was left feeling soft and silky. DD actually slept with that hairdo overnight and it was a little mussed in the morning but still intact lol.

One of the best parts about this was that while the makeover is taking place the child doesn't get to see themselves. Then when it is all finished they turn the chair around and...
