Just got off the phone with a really nice CM who assigns the rooms for CBR.

She all of the disney world resorts were completely sold out for next week and she had said that this hasn't happened in quite a long time. She said "this is a good thing".

I had asked about Port Orleans and she said that it wasn't scheduled to be reopened until September. She said that they were using the down time to rehab the rooms.

Can't confirm any of this but I just wanted to pass it on ...

Can you tell me how soon before we depart should I call with a request. Do I call the general reservation number or the hotel directly? When I made the ressies, I did request a certain section, but I'd like to call again before we go and now there's even a building in the section that I'd like to request.

I heard that you can call three days before you arrive but I usually just call the day before.

I call the front desk and ask for the person that assigns the rooms.

I send a nice, polite fax attention to the Room Assignor listing asking for their help with the following request. Call the Resort and ask for the Fax number. I do this 4 days before my check in and the last 4 trips I've gotten what we requested.
