I was reading on this board how busy the DVC resorts were getting for the month of October due to the Food and Wine Festival, so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to make my own ressies for OKW.

I just got off the phone with MS and had no problem booking a studio for October 15th and 16th in OKW. I didn't ask how many rooms were available but by the quick response from Diane, it seemed like they had quite a few.

Just an FYI for anyone who is thinking of going at that time.

FWIW, Food and Wine Festival is more of a consideration for the EPCOT resorts than it is for VWL, OKW or SSR. And weekdays seem to book more quickly than the Friday and Saturday nights.

So even though you are less than 90 days away, it's not all that much of a surpirse to me that you were able to book a Friday and Saturday at OKW.

Have a great time! I tried to arrange a stay for that weekend as well. Yes, OKW had availability and for Sunday night as well, but it's the only weekend in the year that our dog's boarding kennel takes off. So, try as hard as I have been to get to WDW or VB, our next Disney experience will be the cruise, and I'm having a very hard time waiting.

We just signed on and received 180 developers points. We were going to switch our Oct. 9-16 ressies over to a DVC resort & use points, but OKW was the only place available. We have 2 kids, the pool is a big deal for them, they want a slide - that put OKW out since the pool is being refurbished.

Ah yes, but you are only a few minutes away from your home slide at SSR, so you could just pool hop there.
