Just snagged a tent site for Halloween! Including 10/31!

I am so excited! It has been too long since we've tent camped at the Fort, and Halloween is the best! I have tried for several years in a row to snag a tent site for Halloween night and just now pulled it off. I'm so happy!!!! My kids haven't had a non-Disney Halloween since 2011, and there is nothing like Halloween at the Fort!

I could just cry. My oldest will be 15 and we first camped there when she was 5 or 6. Last year we visited the Fort on Halloween night (staying elsewhere) and when we walked into Meadows Trading Post, she said, "oh my gosh, this place is my childhood." She leaves for college in just a few years, so the idea of getting to go back and camp with her (and my other two) again is so awesome.

Oh yes they do/can - in costume if desired naturally. ToT is a big deal at the Fort. There are LOTS of kids. I've never been but people say they buy LOTS of candy and it's all given away.

Yes, it's huge! It's the perfect combination of real, home-grown Halloween and Disney Halloween. Tons of candy, kids, and families. Best trick-or-treating anywhere. Our kids like it as much as MNSSHP, and it costs nothing.

FWIW, generally the tent sites and cabins don't have candy because everyone heads over to the big rv loops to see the awesome displays. We always run into people near Meadows trying to give away candy that they bought to give out at their tent/cabin.

It's just so much fun, and everyone goes dressed up!

Why am I wasting my candy on the overage teens in my neighborhood when I could be making Disney magic for the children at the Fort. Now I want a sight on Halloween!

Oh, and my kids fill up a standard sized trick or treat bag just walking 2 or 3 loops. If you start right when the festivities get going, you could end up with an obscene amount of candy. Last year they got more than they did at MNSSHP.
