Just Slap a Band-Aid on it and Everything Will be Fine! 2025 Food and Wine Trip Report! (Updated 9/26!)

abundance of free time to work on this and my other TR! :cool1: So I'm hoping to get this and my birthday TR updated a bunch this weekend. It is kinda nice having a lazy weekend, even if I don't feel good. Plus there is so much football on this weekend too, so it's a good weekend to crash on the couch and rest. So keep an eye out for updates, will try to get some posted tonight or tomorrow!
Feel better! That is a pretty good track record for not getting sick!

Do you have a favorite football team?

Thank you! Yeah, I've been pretty lucky that this is the first time I caught something down there. Guess I can't really complain with my track record!

I do! So, everyone hates this, but as someone who grew up in MA I am a Pats fan. I also love college football, my team is PSU, but I like watching any Big Ten team.

Pats fan here as well! I’ll have to find the pic from our 2016 trip where I had Etsy tshirts made that had Mickey heads made out of Patriots logo fabric 💙❤️

My husband grew up in New England area, So he is a Pats fan as well. Although he says it's hard to do now that we are in the Philly area.

With that delay - you could have almost been there by driving! This is why I drive now that I live in VA. I think it actually saves time; it DOES save money; and it saves me the stress of cancelled/delayed flights and all those people! Plus - who doesn't love a 12 hour 80's dance party??

Ugh. Feel better!!! I hate coming back from Disney sick - almost as much as I hate arriving at Disney sick. At least you are home and can be sick in a familiar place.

Speaking of football - do you follow college football? Did you see we fired our coach? First - it's about time. Second, how do I get his severance package???

So how does that work if you would have decided to switch airlines? You would have had to pay for another ticket and wait to be reimbursed for the original one? A last minute ticket would have been expensive. I've always wondered that, I've only had a cancelled flight, not a delayed flight like that.

Happy Saturday everyone! Just popping in with a quick RL update. So for the first time I think in my life, I got sick from Disney! I started feeling a bit off yesterday, and woke up this morning with a full on head cold. Ugh. Good news is it's not covid, bad news is I feel awful. So it's actually good that we had a shorter trip this year because normally we'd still be in Disney through tomorrow, but I'm happy I'm home so can mope around my house with a trail of tissues and my dog following me. I guess after 40 years of going to Disney World, this being the first time I brought home a head cold is pretty impressive!

The good thing about this though is I have zero motivation/don't feel well enough to do any chores, which means I have an abundance of free time to work on this and my other TR! :cool1: So I'm hoping to get this and my birthday TR updated a bunch this weekend. Ugh - feel better. My Dad and I both got Covid right after coming home from WDW last September and it was awful.

Nice! Yesterday was a much needed win, I really hope this is the year we turn things around!

Haha, I can see that being hard. I'm not an Eagles fan, but I LOVE Barkley, I've been following him ever since he was at PSU, he's so much fun to watch!

Haha, it's funny you say this, I was actually telling my mom the same thing that if I were driving I would have made it around the same time!

Thanks! Yeah this isn't a fun one, feels like it may have progressed to bronchitis, but I'm seeing the doctor on Wednesday so will get on meds if needed.

I do, but Big Ten, gotta support my conference! And if you find out how to get that severance package I'll split it with you! :rotfl:

It's funny you ask this because I actually already did it once on one of my Disney trips when my flight home kept getting delayed! So for that one the new flight wasn't too expensive, even booking day-of, it was like $150 or something. The way the timing worked out was with the new flight I arrived home about 4 hours before my original flight even took off, so once home I just cancelled the original flight and got a credit for it. The credit was fine for me since I had other trips coming up and could just use it for one of those. I will note that TSA gave me a bit of a hard time for having two flights booked, but once I explained it to them they let me through.

Thanks! And sorry to hear about your dad! So far I've been testing negative for covid, but I do have a fever and a pretty obnoxious cough, so it kinda feels like the last time I had covid. Who knows, at least I'm home and can binge tv for the next few days until I feel better!

Ok guys, I'm sorry I lied about doing a bunch of updates this weekend. This cold hit me a lot harder than expected and I've been sleeping a ridiculous amount, I even went to bed last night at 4pm! I think I may be feeling a bit better, I have more energy today, but I also have a higher fever today, so I'm not really sure what's going on. Definitely one of the weirder colds I've gotten, I've taken two covid tests and both have been negative, so not sure what crazy illness this is. Fingers crossed the worst is over and I can get back into posting TR updates soon!
