Over on the Budget board
there is a thread about Christmas,,yes yes I know it's a bit early but I have set a few goals for myself this year,one is to have all my Christmas shopping done by the end of July. I am also cutting my Christmas budget by 2/3.

I'd especially love some advise about giving my 8 year old grand daughter a trip to Disney next March Break for Christmas.

Mel, I love the receipe card What do you need for your granddaughter? I am taking my 18 and 5 year olds in August..what can I tell you?? One thing for sure, I am really excited to be taking them

Ok here is what happened in the past hour

We scrapped the idea of taking my Grand-daughter on a March break trip.

Air Canada dropped their price down to $545.00 from $680.00 so we decided to book a ticket for my grand daughter for our Jan trip instead of our March -Spring break trip.
I think she can wait 6 days . It will be a Christmas Surprise gift.
Now I must keep this secret.

I was concerned if I gave Hannah a trip to Disney for a Christmas present but the trip wasn't until March Spring break if that was toooooo much time for an 8 year old to wait,turns out we are taking her Jan 1st so everything has turned out great,,one excited Nana here. I MUST keep this a secret though.

Hi Mel, a few years ago when I took my sister's grandson, I had a pretty bag with several smaller bags of items he would need for the trip. Plus, with the smaller items, I had a clue fo them until the last one and had a picture of a design that says, I'm going to Walt Disney World and his expression was awesome I am excited for your trip..planning this one of mine started off slow, but, wow! the time is getting there...How special your trip will be...

Love the recipe card. Good luck on keeping it a secret. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to contribute as I cannot keep a secret about disney. And my dd16 and I have telepathy and I can't keep anything from her. Congratulations on getting your Christmas presents done and cutting your budget. I need to also do the same. Do you need some recipes to make cards? Just asking.

Christmas shopping is ALL done!
First time I've ever done this.
Here is a picture of Hannah's airline ticket I made her.
Yes the Minnie piggy bank is empty now.
The Ticket will float out of a wrapped Christmas package.
