...and it was flippin' AMAZING. That was the best little gem Netflix has put in my mailbox lately. Don't want to ruin any plot points for anyone, but the tension and drama was so well done. The interaction between characters (spouses; parents/children, etc.) was excellent. Best movie I've seen in a while.

you don't mean the '96 flick with James Spader-do you?

No. I forgot about that one; as I recall I couldn't even watch that whole movie. This is the 2005 flick with Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, and a huge cast of others. It's just good storytelling, with many characters that you come to care about quickly.

We just finished it! LOVED IT! I haven't heard a bad word yet about it and I have to agree it was incredible.

thank god! that other flick creeped me way out.

I thought it was GREAT too!
Didn't get much publicity, but that is the way of things these days, no?

I saw a documentary about this movie somewhere a week or so ago and it looked so good. Thanks for the note. It's going in my queue! :)

I've been thinking about renting this one. I'm definitely heading over to the movie rental store after work today (use to have Netflix but cancelled it). Anyhoo, DH will be totally surprised because he's been wanting to see this movie too!! "Hey hon, get the popcorn ready!!"

It didn't get much advertisement here either when it was at the theatre. I picked it out based on the description (hadn't even heard of it) over what else was out at the theatres at the time. I don't do the theatre very often, too $$$$. But we were in the mood. ANd let me tell you. That movie was so worth the $8.50 or whatever we paid for each of us.

In the 70's I used to be a HUGE movie fan and went a couple times a week. In the 90's that had dwindled to couple times a year. I don't know if it is me or the movies that are being released but I am generally unhappy with most of the movies I see these days.
I went to the theater to see "Crash" and thought it was one of the best movie I have seen in 20-30 years. No it is not perfect but it is awefully good.
