So it seems on the east coast we have to wait until 3am to make our $75 purchases online. Hopefully some of the better items are left!

East coast here too. Already have the alarm set for 2:45 am.

If you used a travel agent then ALL payments need to go through TA including gift cards.

I know this was true in the past but I think this is one of those things that changed a bit with my magic+. They have to release a certain amount of the reservation online so you can register- I suspect it effects the payment ability through the site. Our last trip even though it was through an agent, I was able to go on the site and change the address and everything while setting up our fastpasses and bands.

True, we have to wait until 3am, but that doesn't mean everybody else gets a head start, the whole country gets eligible for the coupon deal at the same second.

Ok which one of you Dissers on the East Coast will let us on the West Coast know early on Dec 1 if the 20% coupon will work on Disney Gift cards! If it works on East Coast it will work on the West Coast right?;):):rotfl2::rotfl::scratchin

Like this whole target thing to get the disney cards, but if I am booked through small world vacations does anyone know if they will accept the disney gift cards to pay for the trip?

Yes they should. We usually have clients email the card numbers or scan and email the cards before PIF date.

Well, I went to Target at 5am, bought $75 worth of "stuff", and the cashier handed me the 20% off coupon. We leave for WDW tomorrow morning and I am going to try to use it at a Target in Orlando on Sunday for a ton of Disney cards. If it doesn't work, I still have the 5% pharmacy + 5% red card. Wish me luck!

Sorry for the odd size of the image, but here's a scan of the coupon I got.

The fine print says:
"Excludes Gift Cards, iTunes cards, Apple, Bose, all video games, PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox One consoles, Target Mobile, prescriptions, optical, clinic, and alcohol purchases. Offer cannot be combined with other storewide or category/department coupons."

"Valid in store only. This coupon for use by original recipient only. Limit one coupon or offer per guest to be used in a single transaction. Void if copied, scanned, altered, transferred, purchased, sold or prohibited by law. Not valid in Canada. (eh?) No cash value."

I actually LIKE how this is written and thinks it bodes well for us. It clearly differentiates between Gift Cards (which we know is what Target classifies their own cards as), and ITunes cards (which fall under the entertainment cards category).... So by by pointing out an exclusion specific to one actual entertainment card amongst the many they sell? Leads me to believe it will work on all other entertainment cards INCLUDING Disney ones.

On this note- do local Orlando DISers know if they keep a bigger inventory of Disney cards at the stores surrounding WDW? I plan on doing this too, but we arrive on the 7th so I won't have time to drive around to 3 or 4 targets to try and find one with inventory left! I'm hoping they keep mountains of them at these stores since they probably sell very well- even with just red cards discount purchasers.

I agree with you and believe that this is what Target meant. I'm just afraid that the cashier/manager that are present when I buy my Disney gift cards will interpret the rules differently.

I agree! I think we have a very good chance that the 20% will work on Disney GC (which as you point out are entertainment cards).

Guess we will all find out on Sunday.

Yep! I did a little happy dance when I saw that they made a point to exclude iTunes cards, but didn't say ANYTHING about entertainment or Disney cards. Crossing my fingers!! =D

When it says it cannot be combined with other store wide coupons, does that exclude red card discount and the pharmacy 5% off coupon?

We asked 4 different target employees last night...one of them was the leader on duty
They all said that you CAN use both pharmacy rewards and red card discounts STACKED with the Black Friday discount.
If this holds true...almost 30% savings.

In fact, a couple target employes commented that it's an even better deal for them..as they can stack it with their employee perks and discounts.

Awesome! Thank you.

anyone do the $75.00 online purchase and get the 20% coupon?

This wont get sent out until Saturday as per coupon rules. Another post suggested it was being sent out at 3am via email.

There was no acknowledgement or indication of my order "qualifying" when I submitted online order this am... but hoping that the computer will just auto email everyone with the coupon like a shipping confirmation.
