We booked a flydrive with VH last month, then last week I looked on VA site -OMG £1100 cheaper using miles and money on VA for same flights. So, have booked with VA and changed our booking with VH to car hire or else we would of lost £450.

I think a trip to Discovery Cove is on the cards now. :cool1:

Well done Julie! :thumbsup2 So it's April next year? Where are you staying? I have been itching to ask you about your stay at the Poly. ;)

Well done Julie! :thumbsup2 So it's April next year? Where are you staying? I have been itching to ask you about your stay at the Poly. ;)

We have booked a villa at Cumbrian Lakes for 15 nights, just have the first 4 to sort out.
At the moment Dolphin Resort is possible, as prices for the other Disney Resort hotels are just very high, over £350 for each night at some of them.

Didn't stay at Poly this year after all, we moved it to the Yacht Club after we had some doubts - didn't regret it as YC was really nice and like the area very much. DH was in his element at the bars and we enjoyed a character breakfast at Cape Mays cafe, just location was handy for what we wanted out of our disney stay.
Lucky we got 40% off - but nothing like that looking likely at the moment for next hols in April. Dolphin is good value for money, pool area is nice for DS Joshua, epcot walking distance, just the whole area has advantages and apparently some bar called 'cabana'? is up DHs street too.
Not that he ever ever drinks at home just likes to at disney. :)

With our dining out options limited we have to be careful where we stay, DH has checked suitability for DS and we feel Dolphin will suit just as YC did so, 24 hour deli, and generally looks ideal for what we want at a fair price. Had a look around there also, cannot see any issues in staying there.

When abouts in april you going?, were there april too, i think theres quite a few of us out there in april.......
we go 6th - 27th.

Hi Julie

We have just come back from Saratoga Springs Resort which we loved. Dont know if that is an option for you next year?

Really lovely area and so close to DTD - great for your other half to go for a beer:rotfl2:

It would have to priced similar to this year for us to consider, at the moment it is nothing like that. Advantage is 1 bedroomed villa, but prefer a theme park location and think restaurants are not really for us either.

WOW! What a great saving well done Julie! :cool1:

Did you think about a few beach days for your free days, were trying vero beach this time.

Hi:goodvibes

We have 4300 miles with virgin - we have booked a package deal (flydrive 23/9/11 for 14 nights) - how do you go about finding if that gets you any reduction?? does it include packages or just virgin atlantic flights booked seperately??

Have logged in with the flying club and spent a while trying to figure it out but alas it was to difficult for my brain:teacher:

any advice greatly appreciated :thumbsup2

Sx

You can only use miles for flight only with VA. What dates are you going?

You are doing what we did as we booked a flydrive with VH, now just got the car hire booked with VH and flight with VA miles and money. At the moment VA dates only go as far as August 2011 (11 month window), so you will be able to try your September date in approx a months time. The VA website states the following.

ACCESS GREAT FARES WITH MILES PLUS MONEY
A benefit of Flying Club is that you can access exclusive reduced fares to great Virgin Atlantic destinations, by combining miles and money.

We've updated the discounts you will receive as a Flying Club member to make redeeming your miles even easier than before. You even have the flexibility to fly in different cabins for your outbound and inbound journeys so you can enjoy your trip even more by upgrading yourself.

Once you’ve earnt just 2,000 miles, you can combine your miles with money to get a great reduced fare. You need just:

2,000 Flying Club miles for an Economy fare

7,500 Flying Club miles for a Premium Economy fare

15,000 Flying Club miles for an Upper Class fare

:)
