Just Returned

As of an hour ago, we are no longer on vacation and as of yesterday, we are no longer at FW I do have to say that we had a great time and I think we're going to start a new family tradition of going once a year. I really wish it could be more but it's a 14 hour drive from us to the Fort.

We had site # 1408. From the very beginning it became a joke between myself and DH since that was the number of the haunted hotel room in the John Cusak movie. It was a really good site. We backed up to a canal so there were lots of mama ducks and baby ducks. There was also a lot of room for DS to run around which is really good. DH said he wouldn't mind having that site again in the future.

I feel like next year we need to go for a longer amount of time because we ran around parks like crazy people and didn't have a lot of time to do park things. In fact, even though we had the bigdaddyrog inspired signs on our camper and golf cart, we didn't have time to meet any DISers until we were leaving. Only then did we meet Stacktester and Proudmomof4. She and I sat around and talked for a bit. It was nice to network with other people.

I can't tell you how many people stopped us to ask about our sign. More than one person said, "I thought I knew everything that has to do with Disney."

I'd say it was a good trip. The only problem is that now that we're home and it's 40 degrees outside, and all of the Magic is over, I want to return!

Be glad that you are back right now, the weather has been horrible the past two days. Start thinking and planning your new trip. It will make the FW withdrawl go away. When we stay in the summer, I always call and make my ressies when I return for the next year. That way, I am not sulking about just coming back, I have the next year's trip to look forward to!

The weather is pretty miserable. We are not at the Fort today, but we have been inside the house all day due to the rain!!!! I hope the weather gets a little nicer for your vacation. The front is supposed to move out on Tuesday so you should have clearer skies soon!

It is bad enough having to leave, but driving in this weather does not make it any better. I am glad you had a good trip - a weekend away is really nice.

Hi!!! We just got back home and I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed meeting you and chatting with you. Thanks to you, Drew and Mark for the Tink pin. We had a really good week once the rain cleared up and your site remained empty for 2 days before someone else moved in.

I haven't yet because DH doesn't know yet if his vacation time is approved, but the kids and I are considering going with or without him, once I know, I will sign up.

Funny thing... my DS works at CRO and just recently transferred to be a GG agent but he can't add me to the July 4th GG as it is against the rules for him to touch my ressies.

Hey! I'm so glad that the weather cleared up for you guys. We were hoping that you'd have a great trip. Did you watch and of the movies from your camper? I can't believe that our site was open for two days. It was the perfect site as far as I was concerned.

Anyway, I'm glad that you are home safely and that your family had good weather. It was really nice talking to you and hopefully you'll be there the next time we are.
