First let me say that the dining plan provided so much food! My husband did not like it because he felt we ate wat too much! We just came back from a 4 night stay. My sister and her family booked a room for one of those nights and we had dinner together two nights. The one night we ate at Whispering Canyon and it was only 6 of us. (My nephew was passed out asleep). We told our served that we had the DP but my sis and her DH did not so we would need separate bills. We also told her that we had a big lunch (Cosmic Rays chicken & ribs combo) so we were going to skip the appetizers and probably the dessert as well. The server suggested we share meals with my sis. She left us alone so we could figure out what we wanted. We ended up ordering food for three meal plans. The kids (adults on DP) had the milkshakes which the loved. Even with 6 people sharing 3 meal palns, we still had food left over and I consider ourselves big eaters (except sis who had gastric bypass surgery)!
The next day we ate at Alfredos for an early dinner before sis returned to Tampa. Again, we were not that hungry because we had counter service in Mexico, one of our favorites so we asked our server up front if we could share and he said "Absolutely" with that gorgeous Italian accent. Seven of us shared 4 meal plans. There was not quite so much left over this time but we still had food left over. Both times, we tipped our servers as if the full group had been on the DP.
We had a total of 16 meal credits for TS, CS and snacks. We had 4 TS and 2 CS meals left over. We cashed in all of our snack credits for the rice crispy Mickey Ears to give to our nieces and nephews back home.
