We just got back from a 7 night stay at Pop! We love Pop! This was our 2nd time and I really don't have any complaints. :goodvibes

I have to stress that even in September having some kind of touring plan, and using recommended parks is a pretty good idea. I had everything printed out and put together in a binder but this trip we just threw it all aside and went where our hearts desired. Oh boy! If it weren't for fastpasses we would have missed a few headliners and been very disappointed. In fact, one night when Epcot was listed as the park to avoid fastpasses for Soarin' were gone by 6pm and Stand-by time was 65 minutes! :scared1: . Luckily, just as we stepped off the escalator a guy handed us fastpasses that were good to be used in 10 minutes! :goodvibes

If you go in September count on rain! Lots and lots of rain! I think it rained every day but I don't recall a time where it ever rained enough to ruin our day. We just threw on our ponchos if it was bad enough and continued on. :thumbsup2

Cast members were almost all amazing! I noticed the food service employees are the least happy but I can imagine dealing with confused people on the dining plan all day gets real old real fast. Not to mention they probably get people when they are at their crankiest being hungry and having to wait in huge lines just to order their food.

Holy cow was it a hot week! I was prepared for heat but not that kind of heat. A few times I even heard locals complaining. I think the worst of it was Wednesday, after humidity they said the temps felt like 103 degrees! I felt like I could lay down and melt. :rotfl:

I really wish we had been able to attend MNSSHP but we went to buy tickets for Friday's party on Wednesday and they were sold out! :scared1: Last year we were able to buy tickets for a party on October 22nd the night before the party. I know this was my mistake.. if we had wanted to go we should have bought tickets earlier. So I'm not complaining I'm just super bummed. I think it just goes to show how the slow season just keeps getting busier and busier.

Thursday we visited Universal. My parents and I went in 2000 and my Fiance hadn't been there since 1998 so it was a long overdue trip for us, or so I thought. I was not impressed. :confused3 It was a huge difference from Disney in environment & employee attitude but I guess I was expecting that.

Oh, and notice how I said my Fiance above. He proposed in the rose garden our first night. It was nearly 1am and the park was closing so nobody was around so we went down there to take a picture together. We set the timer on my camera, got the angle perfect so the castle was in it and just as the picture was about to be taken he got down on one knee.

Overall it was an amazing trip! Saturday we were beyond on ready to go home, our achy feet probably couldn't handle one more day in the parks. :rotfl: But now that we're back home and its 50 degrees and raining and tomorrow we're back to the daily grind I'm not sure what I wouldn't give to be back at Disney! :goodvibes

Thanks for the advice. :thumbsup2It sounds like you still had a great trip and didn't let the bumps get in your way of having fun!:yay: I want to see the pic of the proposal! C'mon! Share the picture! Oh, there's the picture. I guess you were editing as I was writing. Awwwwwww! So cute! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! He's a keeper!

Awesome! I love the photo - how nice that you were able to capture it in a picture, in front of the castle no less! Congratulations - Many blessings to both of you for a long, happy marriage XOXO :lovestruc

Awesome! Congrats on the Engagement! Will there be a Disney wedding in your future?

We leave for POP on Saturday, and while I'm SUPER excited about my trip... I'm NOT super excited about these HOT, HOT, tempatures that everyone is talking about... yuck!

Awesome! :thumbsup2 I love it when people post pics like this. Excellent photo. I love the candidness of it. Congratulations!

Yep. Central Florida in September can be like July and August in most other places.

Your fiance is almost as skinny as I used to be! I wish my present self could visit my early 20's self and offer a little eating/exercise advice for when my metabolism lost its ability to light a city. :rotfl2:

That's good advice about the Friday MNSSHP being sold out by Wednesday. I had planned to buy our MNSSHP tickets for our trip next week when I got there. I may have to rethink that idea and buy them online before we go.

I was editing. ALOT. I just couldn't get the picture to be the right size without overwhelming the entire post! It took me a couple tries. :)

I wish we could do a Disney wedding but the fiance just isn't digging it. We were originally thinking about going to Hawaii for the honeymoon and after he saw the replica Disney cruise liner in the lobby of Pop he wants to do a Disney cruise so I'm at least hopping for a Disneymoon. :goodvibes

Also as much as I complained about the heat it was still very do able.. on the days when we rolled out of bed early enough (:lmao:) we made it back to the hotel by 12/1 and rested or went swimming during the hottest part of the day & returned later on in the evening (usually to the park with EMH) and it made things much easier.

Awesome! :thumbsup2 I love it when people post pics like this. Excellent photo. I love the candidness of it. Congratulations!

I'm so glad we were able to get it in a photo! After wishes that night he was trying to pull me up closer to the castle and I was being stubborn and annoyed with all the crowds so his original plan didn't work but I'm REALLY happy with how things turned out!

I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend buying your tickets ASAP. I totally was not expecting it to be sold out, especially so early on in the "season" and the parties actually just starting. I can imagine parties will be harder to get tickets for as the actual holiday approaches.

Whoever wrote that Epcot was the park to avoid that day wasn't kidding.

I expected it to be busy, after all it was an EMH night (Friday) and usually we'll stick around until the wee hours after everybody else starts to leave but that night I just could not do it. It felt way too crowded and I just couldn't get myself to wait an hour or so for even the best ride in the park! Touring plans had as a 5.6 out of 10! :scared1: The rest of the week we were there Epcot was 1s, 2s and 3s!

And thank you to all for the congratulations and warm wishes! I'm very excited to start the planning! :goodvibes
