Just returned..packed parks/variable weather!

We were also there 2/5 through 2/11 (escaping Mardi Gras) and I thought that it was more crowded than usual. We go every year for MG and this years crowd was very similar to when our Mardi Gras holiday falls close to the President's day holiday. We also were wondering if the Superbowl had anything to do with the crowds...............Friday in MK was very crowded (I didn't even she those kind of crowds when we go in August!!).

Was there from 2/5-2/11.. I didn't find the crowds too awful bad (though we only did 1-2 parks a day and avoided MK on the Monday).. I found Epcot to be very decent throughout the week (we went at least once a day. Stayed at the Boardwalk), MGM wasn't too bad for the parade, but I found MK to be EXTREMELY crowded for the EMH night (was that Thursday or Wednesday.. hmmm).. Peter Pan and Pooh were 60 minute waits at about 8:00pm. We left at 8:45 after walking around in amazement.

..although I enjoy just meandering through the parks more than the rides, so maybe I'm not that great of a judge. ;)

I think their new advertising is working. I know a few families who swore they'd never go to Disney who are planning trips for this year. It's those darn go for $1,500 commercials!
Who do I write about this? I demand they cease and desist! ;)

Went to IOA 2/5 and there where ton's of Eagles and Pats fans there but only waited 25 min for spiderman and did express for Hulk and got on right after Spidy. Magic Kingdom on 2/6 got there early and did Buzz a few times, Space Moutain broke down, where supposed to wait 20 min for Stich but it seemed every Fast Pass person showed up at the same time so it was 35, sign said 30 min for Indy Speedway but it was more like 20 beacuse they opened up more lanes. Went to Adventureland and walked on Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, Aladdin and Pirates. In Frontierland Splash Mtn. had 30 min wait but did fastpass for Big Thunder and walked on that after Splash and Country Bears. Walked onto Haunted Manison and Hall of Presidents skipped Peter Pan, Snow White and Pooh no one even the kids didnt want to ride them all had 40 min waits. Walked right into the Mickey/Donald 3d show but that was just good timing and the characters in Toontown all had about 15 minute waits. At about 6 the place started to clear out as everyone went to watch the Super Bowl so we walked on Buzz, Stich and Space Mtn. 2/7 at Universal Studios was not very crowded Sherk and Jimmy Netron had 25 min waits but that because they are the first things everyone see's. Mummy and MIB both had posted 25 min waits but where more like 15 everything else was walk on. 2/8 morning Epcot Future World posted 25 min waith for Fast Track was more like 10 it helped moving towards the doors after the pre-show, fast passed Mission Space first thing but sign said 30 and the guy in the pod with us said they waited about 40, Ellen's Energy had no wait and Living Sea's was empty. 2/8 afternoon/evening Magic Kingdom Splash and Big Thunder where 25 min wait times everything else was 10 min wait or walk-on. 2/9 morning/afternoon at Animal Kingdom had alot of people wandering around but wait times where short but all of the shows where full. 2/9 evening Epcot World Showcase not many people and walk-on for everything but it seemed pack for Illuminations I guess alot of people just showed up for that. 2/10 IOA and Universal Studios walked on everything except Hulk 15 min and Back to the Future 20 min. 2/11 Disney/MGM 25 min for Aerosmith Coaster, fast-passed Tower of Terror sign said 20 min so we got in line and waited 30 min and then used are fastpasses after we got off because are time came up. Little Mermaid show was about and hour for the rest of my family I skipped it and used there tickets for fastpasses for Tower or Terror and rode it a ton, but they said they waited in the outside line for like 20 min and then inside for another 40 min. Everything else was walk on but we did show up about 20 minutes early for all of the shows with set times and all of those shows ended up full. Fantasmic was packed we showed up an hour early and brought food in and ended up at the top of the section right by the exit so we beat the crowd out.

I know the commercial sounds great$1,500 and it is, but man think about what they make on food. We are a family of 5, and they are all teens, our food really adds up. But the advertising is great, I must admit.

Another one here who agrees the parks are much more crowded than I ever would expect this time of year. Traffic is even heavy.

We were there 2/1 through 2/8. We had planned to go to the MK on Monday, but decided against it....now I'm glad! The week before I did not find the crowds to be that bad.....Epcot was fine (but then there's more room to spread out! ;) ) and MGM was not bad either. Some folks probably decided to stay a bit longer after the Super Bowl, too.

My family and I just returned from WDW on Monday. We were there from 3/20-3/27 drove (from PA). We planned our trip really well (itinerary wise), about 2 days before we were set to leave I realized that we were going during the spring break period! Foolishly I thought springbreak started AFTER Easter, I had no idea. So I ran out and purchased The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2005 - what a life saver that book was.... We avoided the parks on the days it told us to (I visited touringplan.com for updates on parks to avoid), we arrived early most days, returned to our hotel room and too breaks/naps and returned to the parks later. Well we got to see everything that was on our list and more.

On Friday we visited SSR and took the DVC tour. Well we are hooked. I'm already planning on going back in December for the Christmas season.

I'm having serious WDW withdrawals. We first visited WDW in September of 98 and although we had a great time this time was just awesome. I don't have enough words to describe my feelings. I'm almost embarassed, lol. I keep visiting websites just to get information on WDW and we've only been home one day, lol.

I keep looking over pictures and pictures of the park just to reminisce (sp)

The Cinderellabration was beautiful, the Wishes fireworks are the best I've seen and I've seen a few fireworks during the fourth of July but these are by far the best ever!

Our favorite rides were the peter pan flights, the Mickey Philharmagic is awesome.... Beauty and the Beast at MGM is beautiful... The fantasmic show was amazing.... The villas at SSR are gorgeous. I could go on, but won't, lol

I'll probably be visiting this board often just to get my fix.

Hope to know you all!!
