We go to WDW a lot. I have to say this was the most disappointing trip allergy wise.

I called ahead of time and requested an "allergy clean". They confirmed they had that noted. When I checked in, I asked if the allergy clean had been done. I was told no- it had not been noted. Not once during our stay did they ever do the allergy clean. (And we are still paying for it today).

Twice during our stay my dd was given regular milk instead of the soy milk we requested. I didn't find out until it was too late.

One Chef at GF clearly did not "get" air born allergies as he lead me right to a spot where I was surrounded on 3 sides by the allergen!

I really noticed the servers were lacking this trip. It was as if they knew they would get a tip and did the smallest amount of work. One server even wrote in the tip amount he thought he should get on the bill. (And he was the worse server we had the whole time). He brought our drinks and we did not see him again until he brought the bill.

I used to consider Disney "safe". Now I am way more leery.

Did you contact any managers or Guest Relations while you were there to let them know about the problems? And, have you contacted Guest Communications at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com since you returned? Please understand, this is NOT disputing what you said by any means. Rather, I hope you've contacted them to let them know so that hopefully they will correct things so that it will NOT happen again!

WDW usually is very responsive to these sorts of things and it is concerning that they messed up this time. If you don't let them know (be polite and be specific, don't go in "expecting" anything but that they'll hopefully fix things for next time!), they won't be able to do much to keep it from reoccurring.

I'm sorry to hear that the Magic wasn't as Magical this time out. Let's hope that they can get polish back up their Magic for the next time!

Yes, I spoke with Managers as the issues arose. And No, I was not "expecting" anything other than a safe meal/room that I was paying for. I am also sending a detailed letter commenting on the replies I got. I would NOT want another guest to have the same experiences we had.

OMG! :scared1: That actually scares the carp out of me!

Do you mind revealing which locations this happened? And *what* happened? Did your daughter notice the difference right away? Why did I want to remember soy milk in drink boxes on our last visit...have they done away with those or am I remembering incorrectly?

My DD has a life threatening allergy to cow's milk so I definitely find your experience alarming.

In all of our previous trips they have brought the soy milk to the table in the original bottle. Both times it happened they put the "soy" milk in a cup with a lid (like a regular drink). After this experience, I will insist they bring her a bottle of soy milk to the table.

In all of the excitement (character meals) my daughter did not notice until the reactions started. One meal was the Mary Poppins/Pooh breakfast at GF, the other was the Ohana Breakfast with Stitch.

That sounds like a good solution.
My guess would be that they filled cups for several children 'backstage' and then mixed up which was which. Some other child probably got your child's milk. Glad to hear the reaction was noticed in time.

I agree that it seems to be getting worse, which is really scary. Not only do I feel like there are less options available, but it also seems like there was less of an effort to make things safe and even some annoyance. We took notes about all of this for our TR and it seemed like it was happening daily, which was not the case even one year ago. Some places (Ohana stands out) were still great and very kind and helpful, though.
