Just returned from WL for 5 nights AND

our stay was great, except for the BUS transportation. For the most part, we waited on the bus for about 20 minutes. On two occasions we waited for 45 minutes. By the time the bus arrived, there were so many folks waiting, that the bus filled up immediately. Ironically, there was a transportation supervisor there noting bus arrival times. Many guests approached her about their concerns. Outside of that, the CMs were great, and WL is beautiful. I just thought that I would mention the transportation in case anyone wanted to make alternative arrangements. Be glad to answer questions!

Does the WL still share buses with FW Campgrounds? If so, who do they pick-up first, WL guest or FW people.

The buses are still shared. For the most part, WL was picked up first and then FW. However, on different days the return trip was done both ways-FW first then WL and vice versa. One day our bus picked up at WL, then FW, then the Poly, and the GF. Wasn't sure about the rhyme and reason!

We are booked at WL in February. I've seen photos of "cozy nooks" where a couple of comfy chairs and a little table are grouped together in a little nook in the hallway. We are hoping to get a room near one of these, so DH and I can talk and unwind after the kids go to sleep. I have this vision that we could relax in a nook near our room and use our nursery monitor from home to hear if someone wasn't sleeping. In your opinion, is this possible? Do you know how I would request a room near one of these? We booked a room with a std view and bunk beds. Thanks!

What a great idea! I would be interested in this possibility as well. And let's hope that transportation supervisor that Madhatter266 mentioned is doing something productive about the ongoing transportation problems!

The "cozy nooks" with comfy chairs and fireplaces are located on the 4th and 5th floors above the main entrance to the lobby. I would fax your room request, 3 to 4 days before your arrival, for a location close to the nooks.

I sit in these areas in the late evening and the view of the lobby is great. There should be wooded view or standard rooms near these places.

I really don't understand why WL is having transportation problems... those busses are dispatched to WL first... then they continue onto FW or GF (for DAK)... Dispatch intervals are currently 15 mins.

I went there just the other day, just riding around... on the busses, and taking pictures, and the busses came on schedule for me... *shrug* Next week, I think I'll go sit out there for a good 2-3hrs and see whats going on.

(By the way... yeah, call me crazy lol, but on my days off, I go and ride around on Disney Transportation... Just yesterday I went from TTC to WL to FW to MK to OKW to DTD to FQ to MK to TTC in about 2hrs (Taking both Busses and Boats). So, not only do I drive these routes on a daily basis... I ride them too...)
