As DVC members, it's always great for us to go home. And this stay didn't disappoint. We had what we feel was the BEST room, 4517. It was a dedicated one bedroom and had a view of the quiet pool and Bay Lake!!! We really couldn't see much of the Electric Water Parade, but a glimpse, so it was a nice suprise!!! We loved the villas and had a very relaxing time there, there were no problems with our room and no problems with housekeeping. The villas are our FAVORITE place to stay and we love it there. We did stay at the GF RPC And the YC on points and we DEFINATELY won't be using our points for a hotel stay again. It really felt like a waste to us, the option is nice, but not for us. We went by the BCV and thought they were nice. We're thinking of adding on about 30 points for a couple nights in a studio each year. We liked it there, but mainly for SAB and Cape May Cafe. We are SO glad that our home is VWL, just so much more us. That's the best thing about DVC, something for everyone. Any questions, please ask!!!

It sounds like the same section that we stayed in. Not only could we get a glimpse of the Electric Water Pageant between the trees, we were right by the elevators.

We're also very happy to have VWL as our second DVC home.

Thanks for the report!!!:) :)

So glad that you enjoyed your stay. I haven't stayed at VWL, but I have stayed at WL twice and thought the atmosphere was spectacular!:D

BeckyV - I did make my ressies at exactly 11 months out and had asked for a pool view. It really was spectactlar!! I forgot to add that the room was also located on overlook to the Villa's lobby, so it was really nice to walk out of our room and have the view of the atrium!!!

Glad you had such a great time. We were in a studio in May, and absolutely loved it. You got the view I wanted! We were a little farther down that hall to the right. We can't wait to get back! Erin

This morning I was able to get a studio at VWL added to the end of our trip next week. We own there but have never stayed there and we can't wait. Thanks for the great report!!

Lori,

Thanks for the report. I know what you mean about the EWP....we could get glimpses through the trees (we were farther down the building with a "tree" view), but we could hear it very clearly sitting on our balcony. Just a nice way to sit with a beverage and wind down at the end of the day.

We're heading back to WDW in a couple of weeks and we're going to try out the BWV since we did VWL six weeks ago.

Part of me wishes we were heading back to VWL since we had such a nice stay there, but the exploring part of me wants to know about the other DVC resorts. Just want to be prepared in case we ever look for a resale add-on! :D

Yep, we definitely were in the same section when we stayed there last November.

The atrium view was even more spectacular since they had a beautiful tree with a zillion white lights set up for the holidays.

We had never stayed at VWL previously, and made no request other than non-smoking. Our location was a very pleasant surprise.

:D :D :D

We too stayed in 4517 and agree it has to be one of the best rooms at the villas! We were there last September 9-17. We are Boardwalk members so tried VWL at the 7 month window, requested an upper floor pool view and got it! I'm not sure we could have this luck again (tried to get VWL early December this year but nothing was available) now that VWL is sold out.

Although we were there for the 11th, everything else seemed to work out so perfectly that vacation. If I could be guaranteed that room every time, I'd be quite content! Ah well, who knows, OKW may end up being my favorite resort after this trip!

Hi Everyone-

We are so excited because after 12 years visiting Disney (sometimes on property, sometimes off) this past March we purchased DVC with our home resort being WLV. :Pinkbounc (we were told we were one of the last ones able to purchase as it was pretty much sold out and they were working on precon sales for BCV) We have never stayed at Wilderness Lodge before but we have visited for lunch or dinner many times and just lOVE the place. I've made reservations for 10 days for a studio in January. Should I e-mail them and request a pool or lake view, now? I was going to wait until it got closer to our check in time. I do know that for the hotels, they don't even see the ressies until about a week beforehand. What are the other views like? There aren't any that view the parking lot are there?

If any of you have stayed in any of the studios before, which one is your favorite and why?

Thanks !

Annie T.
