We just spent 7 nights in a 2 bedroom and had friends in a studio. Let me start by saying it wasn't the most magical of trips. We recieved no Welcome Homes but our friends in the studio did, we found that amusing. But no big deal. Upon checkin at 1:30pm we were told our 2 bedroom was ready. Thank God. I am now 5 months pregnant and had been up almost all night and had spent the morning at Downtown Disney with my SIL and 2 yr old nephew. Once we entered the room we realized the 1 bedroom portion had not been touched- let alone clean. We call down to the front desk- they will spend someone up asap. The lady from housekeeping comes up and closes the 1 bedroom portion telling us she will clean it. One hour and a half later we peek over only to discover she did nothing but close the door and leave. So we call housekeeping again and someone comes up, closes the door- another hour and a half goes by. My 14 yr old goes over and inquires if she is nearing completion, she responds with "NO and do not ask again!!!" This is where I call the front desk again and inquire about the time, I am informed that the room is not guarenteed until 4:00pm. I said I realized this however, when I am given keys and told my room is ready I full well expect it to be just that ready and then got rather pissy about housekeepings attitude toward my son. This did not start my vacation off on a good note.

We had multiple issues with priority seating including candlelight processional which I had booked for the 15th but the person from Disney put in as the 5th. A huge thank you to Steve and Mojo at BWV's guest services for straightening that out.

Room wise we had 4125 and 4127 standard view, also 4136 perferred view. These are the fartherest rooms from the lobby. A solid 5-6 minute walk. A positive note our standard 2 bedroom at a great view of the TOT and the canal. All in the party agreed the standard view had a better view than the studio perferred view.

I hate starting a vacation off like that. I agree with you 100% once you were given those keys the 4 o'clock rule is out the window. I found personally when I go to the front desk and talk face to face with someone you get more accomplished.I also feel if this is still bothering you you should e-mail the BWV and let them understand your feelings. Most people after checking out take home the bad feelings and let them off the hook.I have to say I had a problem with a room 2 years ago and it was never resolved to my satisfaction while I was there,so after returning home I e-mailed my the resort and after several more e-mails they finally understood my feelings about what happened and they gave me a free nites stay.I told them that was not what I wanted just a little respect and an apology would have surficed. I still love the place but I don't expect a magical experience upon arrival anymore. I always have a bit of a knot in my stomach until we get settled in the room.

Well that sure wasn't a fun way to start your vacation, was it? We finally ended up in 4128, and you're right...it's a hike. I wondered about the rooms on the other side of the hall and the view they had.

I also had a check-in nightmare but the manager, Alfredo, made it all good in the end. We were given an unacceptable room to begin with. I asked to be moved and we were given a second room. When we tried to get into that room, we found it to be still occupied!! Yikes. Alfredo came up and double-checked. Seemed that the folks in that room had decided to stay another night. So, off we went again, in search of a room. Finally ended up in 4128 and it was fine. But it sure does frazzle your nerves at the start of your vacation. That glass of wine at Chef Mickeys that night was certainly a welcome one!!!!!
